Note: 1. Single pool memberships are available to individuals 16 and over. 2. Full time students (18-22) may be included on a family membership. 3. Replacement membership cards are $3.00 each. 4. CVCO membership fee is based on age as of MAY 30th 2012. 5. Membership cards may be picked up at the pool starting on opening day. 6. Application must be signed by an adult. 7. A family membership is defined as individuals living at the same physical address. Proof of address may be required upon request. 8. A babysitter membership can be purchased for an additional $50.00. The card is only valid when used in conjunction with babysitting duties. Babysitter card is non-transferrable to other individuals.

C.V.C.O. Conyngham Valley Civic Organization George C. Ernst Memorial Pool Rules & Regulations The following rules and regulations have been established for the protection and benefit of all members. It is the responsibility of all members to abide by them. Parents are to instruct their children to observe all rules and to obey the instructions of lifeguards, managers and concession stand employees. ANY VIOLATIONS OF THESE RULES SHALL BE CONSIDERED SUFFICIENT CAUSE FOR IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION OF POOL PRIVILEGES FOR THE OFFENDING MEMBER. SUCCESSIVE VIOLATIONS MAY BE CONSIDERED SUFFICIENT CAUSE FOR CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP. 1.

POOL HOURS: A. Daily: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, weather permitting at the discretion of the pool manager, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. (Pool is closed on Valley Day) B. Lane swimming: 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM (ages 18 and over). C. Extended hours are arranged at the discretion of the CVCO Board. D. 15-minute rest periods are scheduled each hour during pool operation, at which time only adult (ages 18 and over) swimming is allowed. The Kiddie Pool is closed during rest periods. MEMBERSHIP CARDS: Membership cards MUST be presented when entering the bathhouse to provide identification. Cards are not transferable. All guests must be registered by their host family. GUESTS: Guests are admitted solely at the discretion of the management. A guest privilege shall allow admission to the pool of a houseguest when accompanied by a member with payment of a guest fee. The guest fee is $7.00 per day for ages 8 thru adult and $5.00 per day for ages under 8. Note: Each guest may register a maximum of 5 times per season. The following health and safety rules will apply in the use of the pool: A. GLASS CONTAINERS are not allowed in the bath house or pool area. B. No running, pushing, wrestling or throwing balls in or about the pool area. C. No pets are allowed within the pool area. D. Admission may be refused to anyone with skin abrasions, colds, coughs, inflamed eyes, infections, or to anyone wearing bandages. E. Children 8 years of age and older are not allowed to use the Kiddie Pool. F. All children under 10 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. An adult is considered someone age 16 or older. G. UNTRAINED OR DIAPERED INFANTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE MAIN POOL OR DIVING WELL. H. All patrons shall use the facilities at their own risk. I. Parents are responsible for supervision in the kiddy pool DIVING RULES: A. Diving is not permitted in the Main Pool. B. Only 1 person is allowed on the diving board at a time. C. Diving is not allowed until the previous diver has reached the ladder. D. Dive from the board in a forward direction only. E. Only 1 bounce per dive is permitted. F. Divers may be required to demonstrate swimming competency prior to using diving well. G. Inward dives without a diving instructor present are not permitted. The C.V.C.O. will not be responsible for any accident, injury, theft, loss, or damage to personal property on the premises of the pool area. The cost of any damaged property shall be charged to the responsible party. Members shall be held responsible for the conduct of their guests. No intoxicants of any kind will be permitted. Smoking is not permitted in the concession stand or pool area. NO profane or abusive language or inappropriate behavior shall be permitted. All refuse must be placed in containers provided for this purpose. Life jackets, inflated tubes, or toys are not permitted in the Main Pool or Diving Well (except Family Nite). An adult must accompany children wearing flotation devices when in Main Pool or Diving Well. Unnecessary conversation with the lifeguards on duty is prohibited. Lifeguards or other employees are not allowed to leave their posts to open the gate. Private birthday parties cannot be held at the pool. Proper swimwear is required. Diapers or “swimmies” in the Main Pool or Diving Pool Strictly PROHIBITED. These rules may be revised or additional rules established at any time by the Pool Committee.
