2013 APY - And the winner is…. The Alabama Power Chapter IAAP hosted its annual Administrative Professional of the Year (APY) event February 21st in the Alabama Power corporate headquarters auditorium to an anticipated crowd. This year’s event featured two firsts; an all-male judging panel and five participants including Juanita Bailey; Patricia Johnson, CAP; Tabetha Lemonds, CAP-OM; Sandra McCain; and Antoinette Woodard, CAP-OM. Participants were nominated by chapter administrative professionals who recognized each for their professionalism, education, IAAP experience and overall administrative talent. Prior to the event, participants submitted a resume and an application form. The application assigns initial points. Yesterday, each participant was asked a question relating to our profession. The participants were scored by three panelists on content, delivery and language. The presentation scores were added to the scores from the applications and a winner was selected. The Alabama Power Chapter IAAP is very proud to present our 2013 APY Winner, 3rd Vice President, Antoinette Woodard, CAP-OM. Our APY winner will be introduced to the business community at our chapter’s annual Administrative Professional Day Luncheon to be held in April 2013. The APY winners of the Alabama Power Chapter IAAP have gone on to compete in the Alabama Division APY and have held both titles for several years.
