Title : NGO – MFI partnership for Watsan 2 Blocks,Uppiliyapuram & Mannachanallur Total Panchayat– 57 228 villages – 162 schools Project Period – 1st April 2012 to 31st Dec. 2014 ( 33 months) 21 Months completed out of 33 months. 100% WaterCredit based project Loan support by Guardian MFI Recognized as Key Resource Centre by GOI School Health Program Training to different stakeholders such as Masons, Cement Fabricators & PRIs AWASH committees Hygiene Education through CHWs Twin Pit model Toilets Cost effective model toilets Provision of Junction Chambers Technical support during construction

Lessons learnt BCC is facilitated to Evidence based approaches WaterCredit model is scalable than Grant or RLF program There is more demand for Watsan products Hygiene education to School Children & IEC needed After availed loan, technical guidance is important Innovative Camp Approach to be followed at different geographies • Close monitoring to make the toilet to be completed immediately after receipt of loan • AWASH committee for sustainability of the program • Motivated, Trained masons & cement fabricators are the main stakeholders • • • • • •
