2014-2015 CREEKVIEW HIGH SCHOOL BOYS’ LACROSSE 









Purpose of our booster club is to raise funds to support the Creekview Boy’s Lacrosse Program. The participation of all the families in the program is necessary for our success. o School / county does not provide sufficient funds to fully support the lacrosse program o Coaches’ gifts & apparel, uniforms, player packs, balls, fields, referees & transportation are some of the expenses we are responsible for. o Budget will be available for review by any booster club member Fall season - Based on participation we plan to field Varsity and JV teams o LB3 league (http://www.lb3lacrosse.com/page/show/548405-lb3-atlanta-boys-fall-lacrosseleagues) o Coaches: John Snow, head coach of Reinhardt University’s Men’s Lacrosse Team and select Reinhardt players o Games on Sundays (September 7 – October 19) o Practice  Tuesdays, 6:00pm-8:00pm at Weatherby Park (August 19 – October 14)  Saturday’s, Aug. 23 & 30 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Calvary First Baptist prior to games starting Winter team training with LB3 o All players are highly encourage to participate in order to build on personal and team skills as we gear up for the spring season. o 8 team practices in January o Positional clinic November / December o Further details to follow Off-season strength & conditioning with Coach Renney & Coach Hollis o All players not playing a winter sport are expected to attend. o Those participating must have a physical on file with the school (these are good for 1 calendar year). The player’s physician must complete the physical form that can be found on the Creekview Athletics page, http://www.cherokee.k12.ga.us/Schools/creekviewhs/Athletics/default.aspx o Week of November 17th, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday before school at 7:00am o December 1 through January 23 (excluding Christmas break), Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday after school from 4:00pm-5:30pm o Strength & conditioning will not be held on the days of team training Spring Season o Coaches: Head Coach – Matt Renney; Assistant Coaches – Scott Petzel & Joel Schubert  Community coaching candidates should be forwarded to Coach Renney directly or a member of the board. o Tryouts begin Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 o Tryouts & practices to be held at Calvary First Baptist Church from 4:30pm-6:30pm, Monday-Friday for both Varsity & JV teams  Players are responsible for their own transportation to and from practice o Earliest first game Feb. 16, 2015  Players may be responsible to provide their own transportation for some away games. Player requirements for spring o Eligibility - Players must pass 5 out of 6 classes from the previous semester.  Full details can be found on the Creekview Athletics page, http://www.cherokee.k12.ga.us/Schools/creekview-hs/Athletics/default.aspx o Physical on file with the school (these are good for 1 calendar year). The player’s physician must complete the physical form that can be found on the Creekview Athletics page, http://www.cherokee.k12.ga.us/Schools/creekview-hs/Athletics/default.aspx o Valid U.S. lacrosse number through the end of the season (http://www.uslacrosse.org/membership.aspx) o Conduct Policy to be signed by all players o ImPACT concussion baseline testing o Creekland 8th grade players are eligible to participate in winter team training, strength & conditioning and tryout for the high school JV team in the spring as numbers permit. Player / Parent expenses o Personal equipment – Each player must supply their own stick, helmet*, gloves**, elbow pads, cleats, mouthpiece. All equipment must be Creekview colors (green/blue) or white.  *All players are required to wear a Creekview helmet for the spring season supplied through the booster club. For new players in the program, these can be purchased for $150.00  **Creekview branded gloves will be available for purchase by pre-order only. Approximate cost will be $150. These are optional. Order deadline to follow.  Practice uniform (pinnie & shorts) = $30. Required to be worn at all fall & spring practices. o Fall league = $175 (paid directly to LB3) o Winter team training = $175 (paid directly to LB3) o Spring registration = $400 (Payment in full due by Jan. 31, 2015) o Booster club membership  $50, or $75 if paid after Dec. 31, 2014 (Payment in due by Jan. 31, 2015)  Booster club members will have access to season tickets o Pre-game meals (Spring season)  All families will be required to participate in providing pre-game meals for the players. Details of which will follow after tryouts Ticket booth / concession stand requirements o All families will be assigned games to work ticket boot or concession stand for home games.  JV families to work varsity games; varsity families to work JV games Gameday volunteers include: filming, announcer, score board operator, scorer’s table, field preparation.

Fundraising o iPad Air raffle  Drawing held at halftime of the September 5 Creekview home football game vs/ Riverwood  Each player is required to sell 10 tickets @ $5/each  Additional ticket books are available o 2 donuts sales  Saturday morning, September 6  Pre-sale forms will be available  E-mail will be sent to sign-up for selling locations  4 parent volunteers needed to pickup the 500 dozen donuts in Roswell at 6:00am  Spring date TBD o Christmas wreath sale (chaired by Liz Huth) – These make great gifts for hard-to shop-for friends, relatives and business associates.  Mid-September players will receive selling kits at practice. Players participating in fall school sports need to contact Liz or a board member for their kit.  Money will be due when orders are placed, deadline in late October  Options to hand deliver to customers, or ship out of town/state as gifts  Parents are encouraged to take a sign up sheet to work, or post on social media  There will be an opportunity to earn the Creekview branded gloves through wreath sales. o Golf tournament – Spring 2015 – Details to follow o We will begin the application process for 501(c)(3) soon, to make the booster club a tax exempt organization  Sponsorship packages will be put together once we have this.
