"#$%!&'()*!+!,-.(-)./ ³$6+$´PHDQVHope ASHA, Irvine gives hope to start the HARIKSHA Learning Centre for the Special Need Children for the underprivileged ± Mentally Retarded / Cerebrally Palsied children living in the interior corners of Melmalayanoor Block, Villupuram District. The great idea of Asha for Education is to catalyze the socio-economic through education. Apart from the main objective to provide education to underprivileged children, one of the great objective of Asha is to address, whenever possible, other issues affecting human life such as health care, environment, socio-economic aspects DQGZRPHQ¶VLVVXHV With the great support of ASHA for Education, Irvine, Hariksha Learning Center focuses on providing basic developmental skills in hygiene, motor skills, physical therapy, special education and other kinds of therapy as appropriate, to children with special need (Cerebrally Palsied / Mentally Retarded), which helps the children to be a valuable to the family & community. Further, the learning center helps its children in obtaining eligible benefits from the Government of Tamil Nadu. All the way the support of Asha makes bright changes in the lives of the underprivileged, disadvantaged, special needy children. Recently crisis knocked the door in the form of lack of volunteer support to Asha for Education, Irvine. The situation forces Asha for Education, Irvine ± not able to commit for the further support for Hariksha Learning Centre, complete activities. With available resources and we are exploring the possibilities at the maximum level to find the alternate resources to substitute the crisis. We express you to share this information to your friends, relatives, colleagues all the well wishers and the philanthropists to extend their support to overcome the crisis situation.

7+/0$8#.%0+!#90:.!;#68*'(!! Padmesh 4 years old boy child from Avaloorpet village. He got admitted in our Learning centre on 8th January 2014. The boy is from Avaloorpet village, The birth history of this child is normal. During his childhood he got affected with heavy fever which cause speech impairment, he also got difficulty to swallow the food. The four month special therapy intervention makes the boy improvement in his speech, he can swallow the food. We felt the improvement of the child, the parents feel very happy towards the improvement of the child.

;#$*+.'!*D*+:*!7+'2*3.0$!C%'%.! To ratify our application towards FORM D (Building license) the Tiruvannamalai Town Revenue Inspector made visit and issued the required certificate Building License on 30th April 2014.

E*'.!;*$/0$8*$'!! M. Chandru is selected as good practitioner and best performer in the month of April 2014 A. Loordhupriya is selected as a good practitioner and best performer among the girls.

1.#//!7+/0$8#.%0+!! Ms. A. Anjugam is appointed as a cook for Rainbow Life Children Home on 3 rd April. She is guided to prepare tasty variety food to the children, to keep clean and tidy the kitchen, kitchen articles, provision articles, etc., Ms. M. Radha is appointed as a warden for the Girls Home from 12 th April. She is provided with adequate information, her role is explained that she has to take care the children with love and affection, should take proper care and welfare of the children, to maintain discipline among the children, to maintain the sanitation and hygene, to implement the daily routine in DQ HIIHFWLYH PDQQHU DQG HQVXUH WKH FKLOGUHQ¶V involvement. Explained that she has to look after the security and safety arrangements of the home and she has to escort the children whenever they go out of the home.
