• The Year 7 Lake District Visit has been happening for the last 30+ years. It is seen as an excellent way for the boys to finish the year, a time for meeting new people in the year group and experiencing things that are definitely outside the boys’ normal comfort zones.
Purpose of Trip
Purpose of Trip • The role that Outdoor Activities play in this is that it is an excellent way to challenge the boys, making them think about their role in a team and look at their own abilities and that of others.
Purpose of Trip • Other traits like selfesteem and confidence are also pushed to new levels.
• When this is put into a residential experience as well it adds even further to the adventure that they feel.

• “Enjoy yourself, but don’t spoil the enjoyment of others” • All pupils are expected to behave in a responsible manner at all times to ensure the good name of the school is maintained. • Pupils may not leave the YHA site without the permission of a member of staff. • Smoking is not allowed under any circumstances. • Pupils may not consume alcohol or any illegal substances. • Show consideration for other schools if present, the Activity instructors, and your drivers.
• Respect the coach, minibus, the YHA and equipment issued to you. The cost of repairing any wilful damage will be passed on to you. • After lights out keep noise to a minimum and get your head down. Both you and the staff have long and physically active days ahead. • Refrain from anti social behaviour: littering, offensive or insulting language and actions.
