A Look at the Brewers
• Last Time Out: Skidmore opened the game on a 19-2 run, while junior Aldin Medunjanin scored a game-high 21 points to pace the Thoroughbreds to a 62-48 victory over Vassar Friday evening. • Series History: Union holds a 8-32 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools, and has had VC’s number is recent years winning five out of the past six meetings between the two schools. The Brewers last topped Union at home on Feb. 14, 2009, when then-seniors Matt Nunn and Brian Butterworth scored 20 points a piece to lead VC to a 82-55 victory. • Last Meeting: Vassar finished with a season-high 88 points, including 53 in the second half, as the Brewers notched a 88-80 road victory over Union College in its Liberty League opener on January 2. • Alumni Celebration: The Vassar men’s basketball program will honor its past today, celebrating alumni day with former members of the Brewer basketball squad.
A Look at the dutchmen
• Last Time Out: Union rallied from double-digit deficits twice in the second half but was edged by Bard, 82-79 Friday evevning. Sophomore Deshon Burgess finished with a game-high 27 points, but the Dutchmen fell short in the end falling to 9-10 on the year. • Up to this Point: After a promising 2-1 start in conference action, Union has faltered over the past several weeks dropping five consecutive conference tilts before besting RPI 86-75 on January 24. • Team Leaders: Junior William Hython leads the Dutchmen this season, averaging a team-best 16.4 points per game. Vassar will again look to limit sophomore guard Deshon Burgess, who finished with 24 points on a season-high 17 shots against the Brewers on January 2. Burgess is averaging 16.1 points along with 2.4 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Dutchmen this season.
