• Last Time Out: Senior Alex Snyder had a chance for the win putting up a shot in the final seconds, but his attempt was no good as RIT held on to top Vassar 69-67 last night. Freshman A.J. Horde of RIT tied with Snyder for game-high 19 points, while sophomore Joe Stortini added 18 points to pace Tigers to the victory. • Series History: VC is 2-26 all-time vs. the Statesmen, last picking up a win on January 19, 2008 when the Brewers earned a 78-73 victory. • Last Meeting: A 15-0 Hobart run in the second half spanning over four minutes keyed a 65-56 win for the Statesmen over VC when the teams played earlier this year on January 16. Senior Connor Rehbaum had a game-high 27 points for Hobart, while the Statesmen finished 15-20 from the charity stripe to hold off Vassar. • Quest for 1000: Alex Snyder will look to join an elite group of Brewer basketball players to score 1000 career points in his final three games at Vassar. Snyder has totaled 989 points heading into today’s game, and would become just the 13th player in school history to hit one grand in the burgundy and gray.

A Look at the statesmen

• Last Time Out: Hobart put five players in double figures and clinched a spot in the Liberty League Tournament with a 75-50 win at Bard College last night. The Statesmen were led by junior Michael LaValle’s 12 points to move to 11-2 in the Liberty League. • Coming Into Today: Hobart will now be looking to secure home court advantage with three conference matchups (including today’s) remaining down the stretch of the season. Hobart has been one of the best defensive teams in the Liberty League in 2014-15, as the Statesmen rank second overall in field goal percentage defense (.390). • Team Leaders: Senior Connor Rehbaum has been one of the most productive players in the Liberty League this season, ranking first on the team and fourth in the league in PPG (15.4) and first on the team in RPG (6.0). Rehbaum, along with senior Andrew Hoy and sophomore Thomas Champion have been efficient in shooting the long ball for the Statesmen, as the trio combined to hit 129 of 340 attempts from deep (.379) coming into the weekend.
