Camp Sessions

Individual (Night) • April 2-May 14 - Techniques shown will benefit all styles of wrestling but will concentrate on the following: • Upper body techniques • Leg attacks and counters • Offense from a Russian tie-up • Greco-Roman and Freestyle throws and turns that can be used in folkstyle wrestling • Defense to throws • Offensive leg shots and defense for leg shots Team Camp (Overnight/Commuter) • June 29-July 2 - Camp designed for teams, but individuals are welcome. Individual (Commuter) • June 23-25 - Top to bottom wrestling • August 3-5 - Throws and moves of danger

Lennie Zalesky - In his fourth year at CBU, Zalesky is leading the Lancers into a new era of NCAA Division II wrestling. In 2014, Zalesky led the Lancers to a 12th-place finish at the DII National Championship, producing three AllAmericans. Prior to CBU, Zalesky was coaching at UC Davis where he earned Pac-10 Coach of the Year honors in 2007, coaching the Aggies’ first-ever DI National Champion. Zalesky was a three-time All-American at Iowa, leading the Hawkeyes to four straight national championships. Arsen Aleksanyan - A two year starter at Michigan State, Aleksanyan enters his fourth season as Zalesky’s assistant coach after previously coaching at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. During his time there, he led the Churchboyz to five top-10 finishes at State, two Master’s titles and two CIF titles. He coached 16 CIF individual champions, eight Master’s and six state champions. Andrew Nicola - After stints at Cumberland and Central Missouri, Nicola joined Zalesky and the Lancers in 2014. Cumberland enjoyed its best seasons with Nicola, who is also a USA Wrestling Silver Certified coach and Team USA Senior World Team Coaching Ambassador. In 2012, Nicola was named the 2012 Indiana Cadet/ Junior Coach of the Year. Other camp staff to include current CBU wrestlers.

You’ll spend a week learning from the CBU head coach Lennie Zalesky and his assistant coaches Arsen Aleksanyan and Andrew Nicola. Everything from intense training to world level techniques, they’ll show you what it takes to become a CHAMPION!
