Mommy and Me (Adult/Child) On-Court Activity Interactive adult and child playtime introducing the fundamentals of tennis in a game-based environment. Agility, Balance, and Coordination developed through fun activities and games. Use of Red Foam and Felt Balls and 36’ Red Court. Recommended 1-2 days a week. Ages 4 - 5 years

Red 1 (QSTFT) – Players are introduced to the fundamentals of tennis through activities designed to build a solid foundation for long term athletic development. Activities are focused on developing the ABCs (agility, balance, and coordination) all while forming the skills necessary to serve, rally, and score. Use of Red Foam and Felt Balls and 36’ Red Court. Recommended 1-2 days a week. Ages 6 - 8 years

Red 2 (QS1) – Players continue to sharpen their ABCs (agility, balance, and coordination) while developing more dynamic movement and footwork with a proactive focus on sending and receiving. Introduction to various spins on both Forehand and Backhand strokes and the different grips used. Ability to intentionally place the ball to open spaces is crucial before graduating to next level. Typically, this is the developmental stage with the greatest duration. Red Felt Balls on 36’ Red Court. Recommended 1-2 days a week. Ages 8 - 10 years

Orange 1 (QS2) – This builds upon the sound athletic base established in earlier classes while integrating more spatial and time constraints. Players utilize control, spin, and positioning to their advantage while also being able to consistently rally and co-operate with a partner. The ability to maintain proper technique during points and proficiency on serve is a necessity before graduating to the next level.

Orange 2 (QS3)–This next level of Orange includes a large element of competition and point play focus. Students should be participating in PlayDays before going to green. Orange Balls on 60’ Orange Court. Recommended 2 days a week. Green 1 (QSMO) – Players in this class are technically proficient and tactically engaged. Players are beginning to determine their style of play and how it matches up with other styles. This class will incorporate both singles and doubles strategy and play. Players should be introduced to 10U Tournaments and regularly participate in PlayDays. Orange Balls on 60’ Orange Court and Green Balls on 78’ Green Court. Green 2 (QSTP) 10U Academy – At this stage of the development pathway, players have chosen tennis as a primary sport and are actively and regularly participating in 10U tournaments and PlayDays. Players are now working on developing weapons in their game and implementing more advanced patterns of play. Players will be experimenting with singles and doubles tactics as well as the foundation of mental toughness. Green Balls on 78’ Green Court. Recommended at least 2 days a week at this level.
