2015 Harvest DP Soybean Program With the size of the 2015 Fall Harvest, it is important that your Coop has the ability to move bushels. With prices lower than we’ve been accustomed to the past few years, there has been very little grain forward contracted for harvest. Your Coop can’t move bushels to make space for additional bushels if it doesn’t have beneficial interest. By putting your harvest soybeans on a DP contract, the elevator can move beans from facilities to make room. Producers can keep them there for a lower rate than Open Storage. The DP rate for soybeans is $.00175 per bushel per day. Open Storage will be charged $.00192 per bushel per day based on the average date of delivery (5.75 cents/month). DP bushels may be priced at the posted spot cash bid during normal trading hours. The final pricing date for DP contracts will be October 31, 2016. Remaining, unpriced DP bushels will be priced at 1:10pm on 10/31/16. To-arrive contracts that are written for delivery in deferred positions must be delivered during the delivery period it is sold for. These contracts may not be used to price bushels on DP or Open Storage. This program is subject to change.
