- Coach Tarr is in her 11th season as the head coach of Washington Softball in 2015. This season, she has led the Huskies to their 22nd consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and 11th straight in her career at Washington. Last season under her leadership, she led the Huskies to their ninth Super Regional appearance. Coach Tarr has guided Washington to four Women’s College World Series (2007, 2009 National Champions, 2010, 2013). - In 2014, the Huskies lost to the eventual WCWS champions Florida in Super Regionals. - In 2013, the Huskies compiled a record of 45-17 and finished third at the WCWS. - Coach Tarr owns a postseason record of 48-22 (.686) and guided the Huskies to their first national championship in program history in 2009, finishing with a record of 51-12 (.810). - Named head coach of the Huskies on July 6, 2004. Was a four-year letterwinner as a third baseman at Washington from 1994-1997 and graduated from Washington with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography in 1998. She earned her Masters Degree in Education from Pacific in 2003. A native of Redmond, Wash., Tarr graduated from Redmond High School. Married to J.T. D’Amico.

2015 assistant coaches J.T. D’AMICO | ASSISTANT COACH J.T. enters his seventh season on the Washington coaching staff in 2015. D’Amico’s primary responsibility on the coaching staff is serving as the Defensive Coordinator. In 2013 Washington’s defense ranked 2nd nationally in fielding percentage. D’Amico has tutored two conference Defensive Player of the Year award recipients, Shawna Wright in 2013 and Jenn Salling in 2011. As head coach of the USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch League Pride in 2013, J.T. led the team to the NPF championship. Former Husky players Ashley Charters, Nikia Williams and Jenn Salling helped guide the team to the NPF title. J.T. first joined the Washington coaching staff for the 2009 season, helping the Huskies to the National Championship. He was a part of the staff that was awarded the National Coaching Staff of the Year by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association in 2009.

ASHLEY ANDREWS | ASSISTANT COACH Ashley Andrews, an Olympia, Wash., native comes to UW after spending the last six years as a player and graduate assistant at the University of Tennessee. Andrews was a four-year starter for the Lady Vols at shortstop and catcher. She was part of two teams that advanced to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. While completing her master’s degree in sports psychology, she served as a graduate assistant the last two years at UT under Ralph and Karen Weekly. Initially, Andrews, who attended Tumwater (Wash.) High, will work with the UW outfielders and assist pitching coach Mike Roberts with the catchers and battery development. She will also assist Tarr in recruiting.

MIKE ROBERTS| ASSISTANT COACH Mike Roberts joined the Washington softball program as the pitching and catching coach in July. Roberts comes to Seattle from the University of Oregon, where he spent the 2014 season as the Ducks’ pitching coach. Roberts helped the Ducks to a 56-9-1 overall record, a 20-3-1 Pac-12 mark and the conference title. Under Roberts’ leadership, the Ducks led the Pac-12 with a 1.82 earned run average while Oregon pitchers held the Nos. 2 and 3 spots in the individual rankings for ERA. Under his tutelage, Oregon’s Cheridan Hawkins was named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year in 2014. Prior to joining the staff at Oregon, Roberts spent three seasons coaching the pitchers and catchers at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Roberts, an accomplished pitcher in his own right, won two ASA national titles, an ISF Junior World Title, eight New Zealand national championships, an NAFA Triple-A North American crown and an Australian state title as a pitcher.
