New Head Coach Brian Basile will hand the reins over to junior quarterback Levi Cook (6-2 210) to run the offense. Cook started every game in 2014 and posted 704 passing yards and four passing touchdowns. The junior signal caller is also the team's top returning rusher after posting 453 yards and six scores last season. Bishop McCort's running game will be paced by sophomore Anthony Walters (5-7 185) along with seniors Jozef Leech (6-1 165) and Nick Thomas (5-9 155). Senior Michael Stem (5-11 150) figures to be a leader at wide receiver. Stefan Vyhonsky (5-11 180) and Connor Imler (5-8 240) will be two senior leaders on the offensive line. The defense will operate in a 4-3 format in 2015. Sophomores Noah Hughes (5-10 205) and Josiah Jones (5-9 237) join upperclassmen Brenden Lavely (6-0 225) and Vyhonsky. Anthony Walters returns after leading the team in tackles as a freshman. He will be joined by Ridge Phillips (5-9 176) and Levi Cook at linebacker. Leech and Stem are experienced players that will anchor the secondary. Shane Steele will serve as the team's kicker and Levi Cook will handle punting duties.

The Bishop McCort Crimson Crushers opened the 2014 season hosting the Forest Hills Rangers last Saturday night, and the Rangers used a strong first half to defeat the Crushers 35-0.

The two squads traded possessions throughout the first quarter until Ranger tailback Shareef Blough burst through the line for a 14-yard touchdown run to open the scoring and give Forest Hills a 7-0 lead. Blough led the attack for the Rangers, finishing the night with 8 carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns.

The Rangers increased their lead throughout the second quarter as the Crushers gave up a trio of big plays the led to Ranger touchdowns.

saturday, october 24 - week 8 - 7pm
After a Crusher interception, Ranger quarterback Joe Donoughe sprinted around the edge for a 65-yard touchdown run. After the next McCort drive stalled, Blough took the handoff and rushed for an 80-yard touchdown. Then just before halftime, Donoughe picked off another McCort pass and returned it 33 yards for a touchdown that put the Rangers up 28-0.

The Crusher defense held strong in the second half as they keep the Ranger offense out of the endzone, but Donoughe added a second interception, returning this one 74 yards for a touchdown to set the final score at 35-0.
friday, november 6 - week 10 - 7pm
For the game, Bishop McCort had more first downs than Forest Hills (13-10) and more passing yards (75-52), but the Crushers could not overcome the big plays made by the Rangers.

Senior running back Marc Smith led the Crusher offense with 10 carries for 53 yards while senior Nick Gjurich led the receivers with 2 catches for 29 yards.

New Head Coach Brian Basile will hand the reins over to junior quarterback Levi Cook (6-2 210) to run the offense. Cook started every game in 2014 and posted 704 passing yards and four passing touchdowns. The junior signal caller is also the team's top returning rusher after posting 453 yards and six scores last season. Bishop McCort's running game will be paced by sophomore Anthony Walters (5-7 185) along with seniors Jozef Leech (6-1 165) and Nick Thomas (5-9 155). Senior Michael Stem (5-11 150) figures to be a leader at wide receiver. Stefan Vyhonsky (5-11 180) and Connor Imler (5-8 240) will be two senior leaders on the offensive line. The defense will operate in a 4-3 format in 2015. Sophomores Noah Hughes (5-10 205) and Josiah Jones (5-9 237) join upperclassmen Brenden Lavely (6-0 225) and Vyhonsky. Anthony Walters returns after leading the team in tackles as a freshman. He will be joined by Ridge Phillips (5-9 176) and Levi Cook at linebacker. Leech and Stem are experienced players that will anchor the secondary. Shane Steele will serve as the team's kicker and Levi Cook will handle punting duties.

The Bishop McCort Crimson Crushers opened the 2014 season hosting the Forest Hills Rangers last Saturday night, and the Rangers used a strong first half to defeat the Crushers 35-0.

The two squads traded possessions throughout the first quarter until Ranger tailback Shareef Blough burst through the line for a 14-yard touchdown run to open the scoring and give Forest Hills a 7-0 lead. Blough led the attack for the Rangers, finishing the night with 8 carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns.

The Rangers increased their lead throughout the second quarter as the Crushers gave up a trio of big plays the led to Ranger touchdowns.

After a Crusher interception, Ranger quarterback Joe Donoughe sprinted around the edge for a 65-yard touchdown run. After the next McCort drive stalled, Blough took the handoff and rushed for an 80-yard touchdown. Then just before halftime, Donoughe picked off another McCort pass and returned it 33 yards for a touchdown that put the Rangers up 28-0.

The Crusher defense held strong in the second half as they keep the Ranger offense out of the endzone, but Donoughe added a second interception, returning this one 74 yards for a touchdown to set the final score at 35-0.

For the game, Bishop McCort had more first downs than Forest Hills (13-10) and more passing yards (75-52), but the Crushers could not overcome the big plays made by the Rangers.
