2016-17 Horticulture Certificate/ Project Medal Criteria The following criteria must be met in order to be eligible for a Project Medal in Horticulture. Bring this completed form with you to your interview. Be sure you have checked () and filled in all sections below. If you are applying for a Horticulture Project Certificate you must turn in your Project Summary Book and a copy of this completed form to your leader. Be sure you have checked () and filled in all sections below.
Must bring to the interview: (1) an up-to-date “4-H Project Summary Booklet”; (2) this completed criteria form with listings to back up the requirements below. (3) your 4-H Gardening Record Book
Must be a currently enrolled 4-H member. Must participate in Project Interview at which time 4-H member presents and discusses their year in 4-H. (Project Medal only)
Must have completed an approved Creative Communications event or activity in the project area in the current 4-H year. Here’s what I did:
Exhibit 3 projects at the County Fair in this current year receiving at least 2 blue ribbons (1) (2) (3)* *Participation in Giant Pumpkin or Sunflower contest can count towards a third entry
Have participated in a Horticulture Community Service Project (consider helping at the Parker Scripture Botanical Gardens or being a wagon puller at the Herb & Flower Festival) Here’s what I did:
