2016-17 MSU Denver Roadrunners Men’s Basketball 2010-11 • Helped the team advance past the first round of the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2007 • 22-8 overall, 17-5 in RMAC • MSU Denver won its first game over a nationally-ranked opponent since 2005, topping No. 18 University of Mary (N.D.) 78-73 in the first round of the NCAA tournament • Reggie Evans named first team allregion • Two players named academic allRMAC Prior to becoming head coach • Spent three years as an assistant coach at University of Colorado under Jeff Bzdelik • Helped CU improve from 9-22 in 2008-09 to 15-16 in 2009-10 • Prior to CU, spent three years under Bzdelik at Air Force, leading the Falcons to the NCAA tournament in 2005-06 and the NIT semifinals the following year • Totaled a 50-16 (.758) record during two years at Air Force, best twoyear record in AFA history • Served as assistant coach for eight seasons at MSU Denver from 1997 to 2005 under Mike Dunlap • Won Division II national championships at MSU Denver in 2000 and 2002 • Had a 227-40 (.850) record in his eight years at MSU Denver • Played for the Shepparton Gators in Australia from 1995-97 • Led the Victorian Basketball League in scoring, was the league’s defensive player of the year, and finished in the top five in rebounding • Member of the VBL all-star team and finished second in MVP voting • While in Shepparton, organized and ran various after-school basketball clinics
