Guest Speaker – Steven Slupsky

Steven Slupsky (President and CEO) co-founded Scanimetrics and is one of the visionaries driving the company. Mr. Slupsky has made many innovations in the machine health, semiconductor, life sciences, advanced microelectronics and embedded systems design fields during his more than 30 years of product innovation. He has successfully led, managed and commercialized several advanced technology product families including WiTAP™, dimmPCI™, MetaHealthZone™ and others. As one of the principal innovators for Scanimetrics technologies, Slupsky has over 40 patents spanning several wireless techniques for wafer-level semiconductor testing, packaging and sensors. Mr. Slupsky was past chair of the Global Semiconductor Alliance Test Interest Group (gsaglobal.org), past chair of the Alberta Centre for Advanced MNT Products (acamp.ca) and sits on the test committee for the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (itrs.net). Mr Slupsky has contributed to shaping the future of the industries he has worked in. Mr. Slupsky has held executive leadership roles with three successful high tech start-up companies where he had general management and P&L responsibility and played a key role attracting customers, financial capital investment and building the business. Steven is an experienced technical leader and has a track record of solving complex problems and delivering technical results. Steven holds a masters degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alberta and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alberta and has authored or coauthored papers in condition monitoring; asset integrity; predictive analytics; wireless semiconductor testing; diagnostics, screening and monitoring progression of disease for breast and ovarian cancer, HIV and tuberculosis; embedded computing; optical storage; image processing; systems design and unexploded ordinance detection.
