Ricky Jackson
is in his third season as the head men’s basketball Coach of the Claflin University Panthers. Jackson joined the Claflin staff after serving as top assistant men’s basketball coach at Shaw University. In that role he was responsible for recruiting, budgeting, and fundraising for the Shaw Bears. An accomplished basketball professional Jackson will be active in the lives of his players, both on and off the court. Prior to his stint at Shaw, Jackson served as head coach of the Gloucester County College Men’s Basketball Program. Jackson began his career at Gloucester County College (GCC) as an assistant coach in 1996. In 2001-2002, he took over the reins of the program. Coach Jackson’s overall record at GCC is an impressive 184-46 for an 81 percent winning percentage.
