General Expectations
Have Fun - It is imperative that the girls / parents have fun ! I have witnessed many friendships born from our teams and very much encourage it. Parents – I enjoy comradery, celebrating success’ at DQ or??, hanging out as groups at tournaments etc. Get Better - It is our goal to show steady improvement from our first practice thru the State Tournament both as individuals and as a team. We WILL work hard. Attendance – I know there are many other activities but please work to make practices/games a priority. Will take as much parent help at practice as we can get. Missing practices without communicating may result in more bench time for your player. Sportsmanship - We MUST always represent CRFP and display good sportsmanship. I expect the girls to always be supportive of each other regardless of skill level, errors, etc. Finger pointing, mocking, singling out, etc will not be tolerated. We win as a team and we lose as a team. Dugout Behavior - When we are batting the coaches are on the field. In the past we have had issues with the rest of team clowning around, not paying attention etc. I expect the entire team to be involved in the game at all times. We learn and get better situationally by watching and paying attention to every pitch and movement. Playing Time - We currently have 12 girls on our team. Meaning there will be 3 girls on the bench each inning when we have a full roster. We will always strive to rotate this as equally as possible, however, please know that poor practice attendance, poor sportsmanship, lack of effort, whining, etc. may increase your player’s time on the pine. We are also reaching an age where positional time is earned. At tournaments we will strive to play the best line up possible.
