2016 COUGAR GIRL’S BASKETBALL CAMP
2016 Cougar Girl’s Basketball Camp Jessica Keller will enter her third year as Head Coach for the Columbia College Women’s Basketball team in the fall of 2016. Keller is only the second head coach in the history of the women’s basketball prog r am since it was reinstated in 2001. In her first two years as head coach, she led her squad to an overall record of 49-17 (.742). Keller served as the assistant coach at Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota for three seasons where she specialized in the development of the post position. Within the three seasons, Keller was a part of 67 victories including being the Northern Sun Conference regular season runner-up the past two years.
A Belle High School Valedictorian, Keller was a three-time Missouri Basketball Coaches Association All-State Selection and at the time of graduation ranked in the Top-10 state wide for most career points at 2,735. During her senior season she set a state high school record for single season scoring average with 37.5 points per game and holds another state record of most free throws made in a game with 33.

The Belle, Missouri native also played women’s basketball at Quincy from 20052009. Keller was a three-time All-Great Lakes Valley performer and was named the GLVC Player of the Year in her senior season. She left Quincy as the school’s career record holder in points scored (1,823), steals (324), free throws made (487) and free throws attempted (652).

Hosted by the Cougar women’s basketball staff and team, specifically designed for the female athlete to emphasize the fundamentals of basketball on an individual and team basis. Campers will receive instruction from Columbia College coaching staff and players. Campers will have a chance to work on a variety of skills in the game of basketball, plus an opportunity to play 5-on-5 and compete in other contests and games.

Site and Facilities
The renovated and air-conditioned Southwell Complex, nicknamed the Cougar Dome, and the student recreation center house all camp activities. The spacious facility offers room for numerous camp stations and courts. All campers will arrive at and depart from the Complex through the main entrance off Pannell Street. Allow for timely arrival and departure.
What to Bring
Each camper should come appropriately dressed to play basketball. Shorts, t-shirt, socks, basketball shoes, and a water bottle are standard. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt.
