Dear valued business owner and community member, Hockey Club Fairbanks in partnership with Alaska Grizzlies Hockey is seeking sponsorships for the 2016 hockey season. The student athletes of this season’s team are responsible for 100% of their budget that includes ice costs ($9,600), travel costs ($13,500), lodging ($7,100), and other hockey related costs. In total, our team budget this year will exceed $55,000. We would like to ask your help in covering costs by sponsoring a player at a level that works for you based on the attached sponsorship opportunities. All members of the Alaska Grizzlies work hard based on their deep level of passion for a sport they love to play. 20 players will make a commitment of their time, energy, and year round sacrifice to train their mind, body and heart on behalf of a sport they love to participate in. In addition to training, your sponsored student-athlete has taken an oath to maintain their grades, raise funds, and to represent the Alaska Grizzlies and your business to the highest of standards. Many parent volunteers will also give generously of their time and skills in support of our program. Their reward, like yours, is to see the kids learn the values of hard work, accountability, and sportsmanship as they develop throughout their student athlete careers. One way we can all contribute to making Fairbanks a better place to live is improving the opportunities for our children. Hockey in Fairbanks is a way of life and is an excellent resource for getting kids involved, keeping them physically active, and to have them be academically accountable on their way to building character traits that will help them long after they stop playing the game they love.
