2016 MYSA Referee Outline
All players with glasses MUST have glasses bands. All players must have shin guards covered with socks. No metal cleats or cleats with a toe cleat are allowed. o Must be checked before each game by referee. All Handballs should be called at the U8 and higher level. Blatant or Continual offsides should be called at U8 and explained to player and coach. All Offsides should be called at U10 level and higher. NO HEADERS, if intentional the ball will be turned over to the other team as a free kick. Unintentional play on. There are no coaches’ boxes. Coaches are free to move along sideline. Player boxes and substitute area is painted on fields to get kids acclimated to them. All games will be started on time unless a coach is coaching another game for MYSA, then the game will begin when both coaches are present. Each team must play with the same number of players on the field. If a team is short the minimum amount of players the opposing team can only play the amount to match that team. NO Exceptions. Coaches are responsible for bringing game balls. Referee Score Cards must be signed off by both coaches and referee at the end of each game. (You will only be credited for games which have both coach’s signatures) All score cards must be turned in after the season for payments. Scores shall be text messaged to Brad Rau 715-560-1404, private messaged to the MYSA Facebook page, or emailed to [email protected] no later than the following morning of the game. o (A picture of the scorecard is preferred)
The referee is responsible for the safety and sportsmanship of the game and will have final say in all matters of the game. Any unsportsmanlike behavior from coaches, players, or parents shall be reported to an MYSA board member immediately. Any Coach or Player given a red card must leave the field immediately. Any spectator partaking in unsportsmanlike conduct shall be reporting to both head coaches and to a MYSA board member.
