Kenai Peninsula Hockey Association 2015 – 2016 Parent - Player Contract Tier III (AAA) Divisions
Tier III (AAA) hockey is the highest level of recreational play, which requires its players to be dedicated and disciplined athletes both on and off the ice. It is also understood that there are significant time, travel, and financial commitments in order to compete at this level. Finally, KPHA adheres to the Code of Conduct endorsed by USA Hockey, and expects its parents and players to do the same. The purpose of this parent - player contract is to detail these heightened expectations in an effort to avoid misunderstanding as the season unfolds. The details in this contract are designed to promote a productive and enjoyable experience for the player and his parents, and the team as a whole, and to contribute to a positive image for KPHA. If a players financial commitment (i.e. monthly ice bills and mid-year registration fee) is not up to date on February 1st, that player will be removed from the team and team’s roster and will not allowed to play until financial arrangements are made with the KPHA Treasurer. ONCE A PLAYER SIGNS ONTO THE OFFICIAL ROSTER (THE "T l"), THAT PLAYER IS FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS OR HER COSTS FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON, EVEN IF THAT PLAYER LEAVES THE TEAM FOR ANY REASON. Exceptions to this policy can only be made by formal request to the KPHA Board. An appeal can be made to the KPHA Board. If the appeal is denied, an appeal can be made to the Alaska State Hockey Association after placing a money order or cashier's check for the amount of the dispute on deposit with ASHA. If the appeal to ASHA is denied, the money on deposit is paid to KPHA. Players not officially released from their team due to non-payment of their financial obligations may not play with any other team at any level in any season, per USA Hockey. GAME JERSEYS Game Jerseys (home and away) are the property of KPHA for use in future seasons. This policy has been implemented to help lower the overall cost of hockey to KPHA, and in turn, to you. Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to the team manager. If you desire to keep your jersey as a keepsake, you may purchase the jersey from KPHA. Jerseys not returned will prompt a billing to you from KPHA.
I accept and agree to play by all of the rules and policies set forth by USA Hockey and KPHA, and this team. I understand that violation of the rules is cause for disciplinary action up to and including removal from the team. I understand the payment requirements as outlined above.
