2016-17 will be Ron McHenry’s 17th season at Washburn, where he has won nearly 80 percent of his games while coaching teams that have won eight MIAA championships, seven MIAA tournament championships, three NCAA regional championships and the 2005 NCAA Division II national championship. Entering 2015-16, he was the winningest active coach in NCAA Division II women’s basketball entering 2015-16.
Assistant Coach Brette Herber
Brette Herber will enter her fourth season on the Ichabod bench in 201617. Brette is a former Washburn point guard (2007-10) winning three MIAA titles, three NCAA Tournament appearances and an Elite 8 appearance. She also played one season at Utah starting 28 out of 29 games. Herber has four years of coaching and recruiting experience at Washburn and Iowa Western Community College which went (46-18) in her two years as an assistant.

Assistant Coach Todd Stutzman
Assistant coach Todd Stutzman joined the Ichabod bench in 2015-16 with six years of experience working with NCAA Division I basketball programs. He was the director of operations at Stephen F. Austin in 2014-15 and prior to that spent time with the University of Memphis and Kansas University. He graduated from KU in 2011 and earned his Master’s of Interdisciplinary Studies from SFA in 2015.
