Head coach Jake Martin has been with DePauw baseball since 2004. In his six seasons as head coach of the Tigers, he has won 121 games including two NCAA tournament berths, an NCAC conference title in 2014, and a third place finish at regionals in 2014. In 2012, the Tigers won 34 games and Coach Martin was named the NCAC and Mideast Region Coach of the Year.
» Ages 15-18 » Location: DePauw University Indoor Tennis and Track Center » Admission Price: One session – $150, Two sessions – $275 » Dress: Please wear baseball pants. Camp shirts will be provided. » Equipment: Please bring all necessary personal equipment. We will provide a selection of bats and helmets, but use of personal bats and helmets is allowed. » Directions: If traveling from the north, take U.S. 231 south through downtown (turns into Jackson Street). Stay on Jackson Street; turn right on Hanna Street. The facility is immediately west of the football field. If coming from the south, take U.S. 231 north to Hanna Street. Turn left on Hanna Street; stay straight on Hanna Street through campus and across Jackson Street. CAMP ORGANIZATION The Winter Prospect Clinic will offer players an opportunity to train at the college level for the day. While interacting with the DePauw University coaches and current players, campers will receive instruction in many of the important aspects of the game, including: » Hitting (for position players) » Pitching Mechanics/Advanced Techniques » Defensive Drill Work » Mental Preparation Each player will have an opportunity to receive small group instruction with a player/ coach ratio of no greater than 8:1. Assistant Coach Matt Pustay graduated from DePauw in 2009, and enters his sixth year on the Tiger coaching staff. He has also coached with the Cotuit Kettleers of the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League and has been the head coach of a 17U travel team. Assistant coach Jordan Niespodziany graduated from DePauw in 2013, and enters his first season as the Tigers' pitching coach. He has served in a volunteer role each of the last two seasons and has spent the last four summers working the University of Notre Dame Baseball Camps.
