Online pre-registration for tryouts is encouraged. Attendance at both tryout dates is expected. Boys traveling basketball is a competitive program involving practices up to twice a week and 5– 9 weekend tournaments throughout the season (depending on grade). A full commitment to practices and tournaments is expected. Registration information is available at www.bisonhoops.com. All players will need to be accompanied to tryouts by a parent or guardian on Sunday, Aug. 20 to complete the tryout paperwork. Tryouts will be closed and completed under the direction of Varsity Head Coach Josh Ortmann. No parents or volunteer coaches will be allowed in tryouts. The final team rosters will be posted on the Bison Backcourt website as soon as the teams are formed. For players selected for a team, the fee per player is: $200 - 4th Grade $225 - 5th / 6th Grades $250 - 7th / 8th Grades All players will be fitted for uniforms at tryouts. Registration and volunteer checks will be collected the first night of tryouts, 8/20/2017. Please bring two (2) separate checks for each player. These checks will be for the registration and volunteer fees. The BBC volunteer fee is $500 for each player. Once the required volunteer hours have been completed, the check for the volunteer deposit will be shredded (hours must be completed at the conclusion of our February tournament, if hours are not fulfilled, the volunteer check will be cashed). New this year: The BBC will be holding a mandatory parent/guardian meetings for all parents/guardians of those wishing to participate in the 2017-18 BBC season. This meeting will be held on Sunday, August 20 and Sunday, August 27 and will begin shortly after the boys begin their tryouts. Attendance at one of these meetings is required.
