RESOLUTION 2017-242-0 OF THE MORRISVILLE TOWN COUNCIL PERTAINING TO THE AMENDMENT OF THE FY2018 USER FEE SCHEDULE ADOPTED ON MAY 23, 2017 TO BE CONSISTENT WITH RATIFIED LEGISLATION (SESSION LAW 2017-159)
WHEREAS, Morrisville has the legal authority to set user fees that recover some of the cost of providing services; and WHEREAS, Morrisville user fees are reviewed and updated annually in conjunction with the Budget and defined by a master User Fee Schedule; and WHEREAS, the FY2018 User Fee Schedule was approved on May 23, 2017 with the FY2018 Budget; and WHEREAS, on occasion, the need may occur to make changes off cycle to the User Fee Schedule; and WHEREAS, the N.C. General Assembly ratified legislation limiting the fees that jurisdictions can charge for small wireless facility applications (Session Law 2017-159): NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE MORRISVILLE TOWN COUNCIL hereby amends the adopted FY2018 User Fee Schedule to include the following changes:
Telecommunication Facility: Small Wireless o $100 per facility (for the first 5) o $50 per facility (for the next 20 – after the first 5) o $500 consultant review fee per application Minor text correction to Telecommunication Facility: Small Cell Antenna/Distributed Antenna System (DAS)
