~RULES AND REGULATIONS~ A. AGE CLASSIFICATION: 1. 8 & Under (Mite) – Beginner Levels Only B. GENERAL: 1. All USA Hockey rules will apply except as modified below. C. FEES: 1. The cost of the jamboree is $400 for 8U-Beginner teams, payable by December 2th, 2016. a. Must be paid by team check, association check, cashier’s check, or money order, payable to “HHHA”. 2. All entry fees will be deposited when received by the jamboree coordinator. 3. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent no later than December 16th, 2016 4. If your team is not accepted into the jamboree a refund check will be issued to your team. 5. The entry fee is non-refundable once your team has been accepted into the jamboree, with no refunds for refusal to play scheduled games. 6. There is no admission fee for spectators.

D. CREDENTIALS: 1. A manager or coach from each team must present complete credentials prior to their first jamboree game. Credentials shall be available at each game and presented upon request by the jamboree staff 2. Credentials shall include the following three (3) items: a. Proof of registration for each player with USA Hockey. i. Official team roster, individual player USA Hockey IMR’s, or association master registration list signed by association registrar. b. USA Hockey Consent to Treat forms c. USA Hockey Code of Conduct 3. Incomplete or missing credentials will result in the team being ineligible for all games until complete credentials are provided. 4. Players may not be rostered on, or play for, more than one (1) team.

~RULES AND REGULATIONS~ E. JAMBOREE FORMAT: 1. The format will be Jamboree style, with a maximum of 24 teams. 2. Teams will be scheduled to play a minimum of six 6 - 30 minute games against teams within their division from other associations. 3. Scores, wins and losses will NOT be tracked or reported to CAHA. 4. Third Ice – Cross Ice Setup. 5. Blue Pucks Only. 6. All jamboree games count toward the 8U maximum number of games allowed. (per CAHA P&P Section 7 – 8U ADM.) 7. Games must officiated/monitored by at least one USA Hockey Certified coach from either team, however, it is preferred that one coach from each team be present on the ice during each game. A maximum of two coaches will be allowed on the ice. F. GAME FORMAT: 1. All games will be played 4 on 4, on third ice, cross Ice (per CAHA P&P Section 7 – 8U ADM,) 2. Each one hour slot will have six teams and six 30 minute games scheduled. 1st game, rotate, 2nd game, on each third ice rink. 3. Each one hour slot will be formatted as follows: 4 minute warm-up | two 12 minute periods |4 minute intermission (selected teams will rotate) | two 12 minute periods |4 minute end period. 4. Games will consist of a buzzer every two minutes for line change a. HHHA will provide someone to run the clock for all games b. The clock will continue to run in the event of play stoppages for injury c. No time outs are permitted. 5. Each game will have a strict curfew of 30 minutes, NO EXCEPTIONS: 6. JAMBOREE STAFF WILL STOP ALL GAMES WITH NO LESS THAN 2 MINUTES REMAINING IN THE ALLOTED TIME TO ALLOW THE TEAMS TO SHAKE HANDS AND LEAVE THE ICE SURFACE.

G. AWARDS: 1. All players will receive a participation award. 2. There will be no championship or consolation games.

H. JERSEY: 1. The first team on the schedule will wear light colored jerseys (home team, unless otherwise posted on the schedule) 2. It is expected that not all teams accepted into the jamboree will have both light and dark jerseys. a. Please note on application if your team only has one set of jerseys so that schedules may be drafted accordingly. I. 1. 2. 3.
PLAYERS SAFETY: Mouthpieces are recommended for all players. If a player is injured, the player must leave the ice for at least one shift. All players on the bench must wear a helmet including a full face mask pursuant to USA Hockey rules.

SCHEDULING AND CHANGES: Check in is recommended 45 min before Game start. The jamboree staff has the right to change a game time or rink assignment. If unforeseen circumstances beyond the Jamboree Committee’s control occur (i.e. weather, loss of availability of a rink, loss of power, etc.), all efforts will be made to reschedule all missed games conveniently for both teams concerned; however, ice time availability is limited.
K. BENCHES: 1. No one under the age of 18 other than rostered team players may be on the bench. 2. Only USA Hockey certified coaches and players are allowed on the bench.

L. PROTESTS: 1. Referee’s and Jamboree Coordinator’s and/or jamboree staff decisions are final. NO PROTESTS ARE ALLOWED. M. LOCKER ROOMS: 1. Locker room assignments will be posted on the monitors in the main lobby and downstairs by the concession stand. 2. The locker room keys will need to be checked out by the team manager or the first parent to arrive for their team (preferably the team Manager). ~RULES AND REGULATIONS~ 3. If Jag Jam or Ice Centre personnel is available to manage the lockers rooms then we will do so, but please assume that the locker room keys will need to be checked out. We will let you know at checkin.
N. DAMAGE TO THE FACILITIES: 1. Should any player or team willfully damage any property in the Ice Centre facility, all costs for repairs or replacement shall be paid by the team concerned. a. Arrangements for restitution shall be made immediately with the rink management. b. Notice of such damage will be given to the Jamboree Coordinator to determine if removal of the player and/or team from the jamboree is appropriate. 2. Any profanity or abusive behavior towards rink personnel will result in an ejection from the rink and the jamboree. 3. Locker rooms will be available 45 minutes before each game and will need to be checked out by a member of each team. A set of keys being will be held until the locker room is checked for condition by rink personnel. 4. Locker room assignments will be listed on the TV monitors located in main lobby and bottom of stairs. 5. Consumption of food and beverage is PROHIBITED IN THE LOCKER ROOMS, on the ice and in the player boxes. a. Water is the only exception. b. Post-game snacks and drinks (other than water) are to be distributed outside of the locker rooms and locker room hallways. 6. An adult must supervise all children under the age of 12 at all times in the Ice Centre.
