2017 COUGAR VOLLEYBALL CAMP

Columbia College Athletic Department 1001 Rogers Street Columbia, MO 65216

The Columbia College Cougar Volleyball Program is proud to offer a 2017 summer camp. This is a great opportunity to expose young student athletes to fundamental and team volleyball skills. Columbia Head volleyball coach Melinda Wrye-Washington will lead the camp clinicians in teaching skills to developing volleyball players. In addition to the Wrye-Washington, former and current Columbia College volleyball players will be part of the staff. The camp focus on correcting athletes’ weaknesses while developing their strengths. All volleyball positions will be addressed the same way. The Columbia College volleyball program has made 23 consecutive trips to the NAIA National Championships and has finished in the final four 12 times, earning the title of National Champion four times. The Cougars have been conference champions 27 times since 1987. Wrye-Washington has been honored nine times as American Midwest Conference Coach of the Year and three times as the AVCA-NAIA Coach of the Year. Columbia Volleyball is coming off of another impressive season in 2016. Making it's 23rd consecutive trip to the National Championships, the Cougars went undefeated in pool play upsetting the overall #1 seed on their way to a top eight finish.
