A native of Frankfort, Illinois, Alisa Goler was a high school All-American at Lincoln Way East High School. Following a stellar high school career, Goler continued her softball career at the University of Georgia. After starting every game for four years at UGA, she instilled herself at the top of record board in various categories. She set University of Georgia records for home runs (58), runs batted in (236), walks (184), slugging percentage (.686), games with multiple home runs (9), and grand slams (4). Her 184 walks also set the Southeastern Conference (SEC) record and ranked seventh nationally. She set single-season SEC records for slugging percentage and RBIs. A four-time AllSoutheast Region selection and three-time All-SEC honoree, Goler was a 2009 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year top 10 finalist and was named to the 2009 Women’s College World Series All-Tournament team. She helped lead UGA to its first Women’s College World Series in 2009 and followed it up with a second straight appearance in 2010. After wrapping up a highly decorated career at Georgia, Goler was drafted by the NPF’s Chicago Bandits in 2011, where she earned league Rookie of the Year honors and was an All-NPF selection while leading the league in Home Runs. She played four seasons with the Bandits until signing a free agent contract with the Pennsylvania Rebellion in 2015. After signing with the Houston Scrap Yard Dawgs as a free agent in 2017, Goler eventually ended the season with the Texas Charge. Off the field, Goler excelled in the classroom and in the community. She earned Capital One Academic All-District III First Team honors and was a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection. In 2011, she earned honors on the Lowe’s Senior Class All-America Team and the SEC Community Service Team. Goler earned her bachelor’s degree in recreation and leisure studies from the University of Georgia in December of 2010 and earned her master’s degree in recreation and leisure studies from the University of Georgia in 2012. She is currently serving as the top assistant for Syracuse University, a Division 1 institution in the ACC in Syracuse, NY where she works with all of the hitters and infielders.
