2017 Hobart/Portage Summer Sizzle Tournament

2017 Hobart/Portage Summer Sizzle Tournament  Tournament Rules  75 Minutes Game Time  Home Team decided by double flip of coin or ball roll.  Teams will play with 4 outfielders. rd  Facemasks must be worn by all pitchers and 3 basemen must wear them for all Hobart teams. Portage teams must wear facemask at Pitcher, 1st and 3rd base.  Unlimited Pitching  8u no walks coach will resume count only 3 pitches if no strikes  8u if batter is hit by pitch, coach will resume count and pitch to player.  Continuous Batting  Slide at home plate when stealing, or a potential play at home.  10u and up Drop 3rd strike  Mercy rule 12 after 3, 10 after 4, and 8 after 5 innings.  8u thru 12u 10 batters or 6 run rule per inning whichever comes first.  Teams may borrow from a team in same division. Player must play outfield and bat last. Player may only substitute for 1 team during the duration of the tournament.  Stealing  8u may steal on pitcher release. Only 1 base per pitch and cannot steal home. If player steals and extra base and touches that base she will be called out.  10u may steal on pitcher release. Only 1 base per pitch and allowed to steal home. If player steals and extra base and touches that base she will be called out.  When a team is up 10 or more runs there is no stealing or drop 3rd strike in all divisions.  No steal or metal spikes allowed  No food allowed in the dugouts. Seeds and drinks are the only thing.  No jewelry allowed  No outside food, coolers, grills allowed. st  Awards will go to 1 and 2nd place only.
