2017 Midway Soccer Booster Club Volunteer Opportunities Parent: ___________________________ Player: ________________________ Phone: _______________________ Email: _______________________ A lot of help is needed to plan and carry out all the great things the Booster Club does to support our players. Please join in the fun! Anywhere you see a blank line means your help is needed. Please jot your name down anywhere you are willing to help – most tasks take very little time so we hope you will consider being part of several projects! Thank you!!
President: Veronica Russell The President is responsible for coordinating the work of all committee members and has traditionally also been either the Women’s or Men’s Rep along with wearing a few other hats. The President also attends the Midway Athletic Booster Club meetings as Soccer Representative. Spirit Wear Coordinator: T-shirts – usually 2 designs/colors for sale to all Miscellaneous Other Items – scarves, caps, hats, etc. Game Day Shirts – Shirts players purchase at cost to wear on game days. (Men’s are Varsity Only) Supporter Shirts – T-shirts w/player name and # for sale to family and friends. Sorters – Help sort and distribute Spirit Gear orders when the first large order arrives.

Season Program Coordinator – Works with photographer for Team, Coach and Senior pictures. Works with printer to produce program. Prepares invoices where necessary and processes (deposits) payments. Panther Pride Ads – Assists parents in placing ads to honor their players. Business Ads – Contact businesses in person, by phone and/or by email to request ads in support of Midway Soccer. Ad Design Helper – We are hoping to get the assistance of student Graphic Design class students but would appreciate the assistance of parents with computer design experience as well.

Fundraising Committee In addition to supporting our players throughout the season with things like a concession stand at their home games and our amazing End of Season Banquet another function of the Booster Club is to raise funds which are used to purchase items to help Midway Soccer thrive. Throughout the years this has included items like a new sound system, flags, concession stand equipment and much more. This year, because we are looking at more expenses than ever to support our players (like charter busses for trips to games that are far, far away) we would like to form a Committee to brainstorm and implement new fundraising ideas. We need your photos – please plan to take pictures during games, candid shots of your player, your player and their teammates, pictures with other volunteer parents. One of the highlights of the banquet is the Slideshow and we hope this year’s will be better than ever before! Thank you!

Varsity Team Dinners Dinner once a week during the season to give the Varsity players time for socializing and bonding. Coordinator – Contacts, recruits and reminds parent volunteers. Hosts – Parents who open their home for the dinner. Chooses the menu and prepares the bulk of the entrée. Contributors - Parents who donate side dish items, drinks, and desserts. Senior Night Toward the end of the season we honor our graduating Seniors and their parents with a recognition ceremony during half time. Coordinator - Gathers information on the players, recruits an announcer, orders flowers, and arranges for flag bearers. This position should be held by the parent of a sophomore or junior. Flag Bearers – Hold up Midway flags during the ceremony.
