ENDOWMENTS The costs for scholarship and program support within the athletics department continue to escalate and a key source of funding that can help ensure the long-term health of the Iowa State athletics programs are Scholarship and Program Support Endowments. Endowments also give the donor, if they wish, a chance to recognize or honor an individual with naming opportunities. All gifts can be pledged over time, typically three to five years. SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT Endowments help underwrite the costs of tuition, room, board, books, academic support and other student services Fully endowed named athletics scholarship • $500,000 minimum Partially endowed named athletics scholarship • $50,000 minimum PROGRAM SUPPORT Support individual programs and/or positions within the athletics department Help alleviate program costs of operations, recruiting, salaries and other costs associated with maintaining academic and athletic excellence.

PLANNED GIVING Deferred gifts give donors the chance to continue to benefit others in ways they feel are important and to invest in the future of ISU Athletics. The deferred giving options can also provide peace of mind for the donors and their families by simplifying the estate process and reducing overall taxes on the estate. • Bequests • Retirement Plan Assets
