In her first season on staff, Moore helped Erica Nagel to one of the best offensive seasons in Loyola and Missouri Valley Conference history with a batting record .453 with 72 hits en route to First Team All-MVC and Second Team All-Midwest Region
In six seasons with Jeff Tylka on the coaching staff, the Loyola University Chicago program has put together its best six years in nearly a decade, recording back-to-back winning campaigns for the first time since 2003-04 and reaching the conference championship game twice. The Ramblers went to the title game of the MVC their first year in the conference. His diligent work with the Ramblers hitters resulted in the team setting new single-season school records for home runs (2013), RBI (2013, 2014), conference wins (2012, 2013) and doubles. Several individual records have also fallen in Rogers Park over Tylka’s six years in the program. Tylka led the Ramblers to the best start in program history this past season. The Ramblers went 14-0 before giving up their first loss to #9 Alabama in 2017. Tylka has a wealth of coaching experience at all levels and he posted a 91-17 (.843) record in three seasons as the head coach of Antioch High School before making the move to Rogers Park. Prior to Antioch, he was an assistant coach for the Illinois Chill 18U Gold Softball team for four seasons, serving as the squad’s hitting instructor and defensive coordinator.
