2018 Big Give Prize Structure Category, End of Day and Comal County prizes will be announced and awarded Monday, March 26 on or before 5 PM Overview There are many opportunities to win prize money during The Big Give! All of the Big Give prizes are for the most number of unduplicated (unique) donors* on gifts given through thebiggivesa.org website (matching gifts and offline gifts do not count towards prize money).
Early gifts and prize eligibility The Big Give website will open at midnight on March 15th for the giving to begin early. Donors cannot pre-schedule their gifts. Whenever they choose to give between March 15-21, their gift will go through. If a donor gives early and then again on March 22nd, they are only counted once for unduplicated (unique)* donor totals. All early gifts will count toward your nonprofit’s totals for the Big Give amount raised and unique donors for overall prize money, but early gifts will not count toward time specific prize awards (because a donor must give real-time in that particular time block on March 22 for the nonprofit to win that prize). The early giving option is for those that may not be able to give on March 22, but still want their gifts to count for overall totals. You may also enter offline gifts (checks or cash) into your Big Give dashboard. Offline gifts will show up in your total amount raised but DO NOT count towards prize money. Prize money is distributed separately from the funds you raise online. You will receive one check for all prize money earned from either The Nonprofit Council or the San Antonio Area Foundation 4-6 weeks after the Big Give. The funds you raise online will be deposited directly into your bank account within 48 hours after the donation is made (this is why it is critical that you be sure that your Big Give campaign dashboard has your bank account information entered!).

Category prizes are based on most number of unduplicated (unique)* donors within the cause for gifts made March 15-22. Every nonprofit has the ability to tag your nonprofit in your Big Give dashboard with up to three cause categories, however, prizes are based on you PRIMARY CATEGORY ONLY. See the chart below for the 15 cause categories and the prizes associated with most unduplicated (unique)* donors from March 15-22. The number of prizes per category and the amounts are based on the number of nonprofits participating in each category. Each category will have 2 sets of winners- one winner for Extra Small and Small agencies, another winner for Medium and Large agencies. #

McKenna Foundation Prizes The McKenna Foundation is offering $10,000 in prize award incentives for Comal County nonprofits. Comal County winners must be current or former grantees of the McKenna Foundation. Prizes award as follows: $5,000 will be awarded to the nonprofit with the most unique* donors in the during the Big Give $2,500 will be awarded to the next two nonprofits with the most unique* donors during the Big Give
New Braunfels Area Community Foundation Prizes 3 prizes will be awarded based on the most unique* donors during the Big Give. Only those nonprofits who have funds with the New Braunfels Area Community Foundation are eligible. 1st place - $1,500 2nd place - $1,000 3rd place - $500
