2018 CWAM Tour Options Tour 1- Historic Sites: Historic Governor’s Mansion & Quebec 1 Missile Alert Facility Visit the historic mansion which provided residence for Wyoming’s first families from 1905 to 1976. Then take a trip to Wyoming’s soon-to-be newest State Historic Site, the Quebec 1 Missile Alert Facility where members of the 400th Missile Squadron, pulled alerts from 1986-2005.

Tour 2-Collector Museums: The Nelson Museum of the West, The Military Memorial Museum & Messenger’s Old West Museum The Nelson Museum of the West displays artifacts from a broad spectrum of Western cultures including cowboy, Charro, Native American, and western art. The Military Memorial Museum features and extensive collection of military artifacts and uniforms. Messenger’s Old West Museum displays a collection of carriages, taxidermy, and western artifacts.

Tour 3- Behind the Scenes: Wyoming State Museum & Wyoming State Archives Get a behind the scenes tour of Wyoming State Museum and Wyoming State Archives Collections and explore the State Museum’s exhibits.

Tour 4- Interpreting Science & Technology NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center Enjoy visitor center exhibits that offers an informative view of weather, climate, supercomputing and the broad spectrum of atmospheric research at a world-class science laboratory. Then take a guided tour to find out about computational science and see one of the fastest supercomputers in existence today. Guided tour requires closed-toed shoes (no high heels or sandals are permitted), No food or drink on the tour. Attendees must place all bags and personal items in lockers before the tour. Attendees will be permitted to bring a camera or use cell phones to take pictures.
