Los Proyectos del Hogar are missionary projects and schools run by the Episcopal Diocese of Honduras Financed by El Hogar Ministries, Inc. based out of Boston Mission: "The mission of El Hogar is to transform and empower abandoned and hopelessly poor children in Honduras by providing a loving home and educaHon. Our goal is for them to fulfill their ulHmate potenHal as producHve, caring and independent Honduran ciHzens."

2016 Project – Paint Boy’s Bathroom
Typical Day Breakfast with the students Work on our assigned project (may be with students some mornings), could be at the technical school or girl’s school Lunch with the students ConHnue working on our assigned project Evening with the students Team reflecHon and worship
Excursions To a nearby church on Sunday To the other schools of El Hogar Valley of the Angels (Valle de Ángeles) Numerous trips to the store for supplies To the house of one of the students

Trip Requirements and Costs REQUIREMENTS: 16 years old by the Hme of the trip Interested in learning new things and being challenged SPEAKING SPANISH IS NOT REQUIRED, but knowing a few phrases is helpful PERSONAL COSTS: Passport cost (if you don't have one): between $170-‐$210 Airfare: between $900 -‐ $1200 Room and board: $250/person for the week Exit tax from Honduras: around $46 (was not required in 2016 or 2017) Personal $ (for snacks, souvenirs): $100
Next Steps Contact Jason Glasgow and tell them you are interested COMMIT to the trip by sending in a $250 deposit due by end of March Apply for your PASSPORT or check to make sure your passport's expiraHon date is no earlier than 6 MONTHS AFTER OUR DEPARTURE DATE Start learning simple Spanish phrases Hola, ¿Como estás?, ¿Como te llamas?, Mucho gusto, etc. Check the CDC website for recommended vaccinaHons www.cdc.gov

May: Third team meeHng ConHnue gathering supplies and fund raising if needed June: Final team meeHng, pack up supplies, go on the trip!
