ENTRY INFORMATION
Participation in the Texas Invitational is by Invitation only. Entries will only be available for universities/unattached athletes that have been invited. There will be an entry fee of $500 per university/college team, per gender. There will be an entry fee of $50 per athlete if less than 10 athletes compete from a university. Entry fees are for entered athletes, regardless of whether they compete or not. We do not accept cash for payment. Please pay by school issued check, personal check, or credit card (by phone prior). Pole Vault entries are due by noon on Monday, April 9, 2018. Entries will be done electronically via the direct athletics website: www.directathletics.com
MEET PROCEDURES
The Texas Invitational will be a scored meet, per NCAA team scoring rules. In all field events, flights will be seeded from worst to best. Depending on the number of entries received, minimum marks may be used in the field events to help run the event in a timely manner. If minimum marks are used, they will be listed on the heat sheets. All field event athletes must check in prior to the first flight. Flights will be combined on site if scratches allow. Qualifying Times (per legitimate 2018/2017 season times) will be used (per the TFRRS system) in ALL Running Events. Prior Qualifying marks (Field Events) will be utilized by TFRRS as well. Meet Management may utilize a “Rolling Schedule” in the Running Events, so please be conscious of your event status. Heat sheets can be picked up on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Track, will be posted on Bulletin Boards above the North end of the Track, and be listed on www.texassports.com by Friday, April 13, 2018. Meet Management will continually monitor all weather, and will be sure to notify you if weather is an imminent threat. If we do get lightning within the 8 mile radius of Mike A. Myers Stadium, 1/19/2018
an automatic 30 minute weather delay will take place, with additional 30 minute delays per each subsequent strike, until the last strike is outside the 8 mile radius. Practice- Please notify Elsa Hagemeier in advance if you would like to practice. We will help you with available time and parking locations/etc.
IMPLEMENT CHECK-IN
Athletes must weigh in all throwing implements at the Mike A. Myers Stadium Implement Check-In Station, located at the Southeast Corner of the Stadium. Weigh in is 2 Hours Before the event. No implements will be processed less than 1 hour before event start time.
WARM-UP/CHECK-IN AREA
During competitive events, warmups/hurdle mobility work will be allowed in the Mike A. Myers Stadium East Side Impact Area. Athletes will need to check in at the Northeast Corner of the stadium, just north of the main finish line, a minimum of 15 minutes prior to their event, where hip numbers will be given to competitors and must be placed on hip prior to entering track for competition. Field Event Warm-ups will be conducted per NCAA Rules.
TEAM BUS/VEHICLE PARKING
Team Bus parking is available on Red River Street (immediately to the East of Mike A. Myers Stadium). You are encouraged to utilize the metered spots between Clyde Littlefield and Robert Dedman on Red River. Standard vehicle parking is also available in Manor Garage (West Side of Mike A. Myers Stadium).

Heat sheets and results can be found on the internet at www.texassports.com . Results will be updated on this site after each event on Friday and Saturday. Final results will be posted on the web as soon as possible following the conclusion of the meet.
SPORTS MEDICINE
Trainers/Sports Medicine Staff may set up tables under the stands on the West Side of Mike A. Myers Stadium. A sports medicine tent/area will be set up @ the NW corner of Mike A. Myers Stadium, and “cold tubs” and an additional Sports Medicine area will be available under the bleachers on the SW Side of the Stadium. Please contact Kelvin Flores at
