2018 Tiger Town Easter Weekend Shootout Rules and Regulations OHSAA/NFHS RULES WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:

Timing: 

Games will be 24 minutes in length. o Running Clock except the last two (2) minutes of the game where the clock will stop on all whistles. o Clock will be continuous if a team is winning by ten (10) or more points. o 3-minute warm-up between games, be ready to go immediately following the previous game.

Time-outs: 

Each team will receive one full time-out per game and one reset timeout per game (see below). o Reset time-out: This time-out will be used to stop the clock and advance the ball to half court. o No instruction can be done during the reset time-out.

Foul Shots and Fouls:  

   

Players will foul out at 6 fouls. No Bonus for team fouls. In the first twenty-two (22) minutes players fouled in the act of shooting will receive 1 or 2 points plus the ball out of bounds. If they are attempting a 3 they will receive 2 points, if they are attempting a 2 they will receive 1 point. The team that is fouled will also receive the ball out of bounds where the foul occurred. If the player makes the basket they will receive the points for the basket plus one point and the ball will go to the opposing team. Free throws will only be attempted in the final two minutes of the game. All fouls in the final two minutes result in double bonus for the opposing team. No points awarded for fouls in the final minute, teams must shoot the foul shots. Technical fouls will result in automatic two (2) points for the opposing team plus the ball out of bounds at half court. Even in the final minute of the game technical foul shots will not be attempted. Two (2) technical fouls on a player or coach will result in ejection and suspension for the remainder of that game & the next game. 3rd & 4th Grade Division: Players will shoot from the regular foul line (must start on or behind the line) but may jump over the line, however they cannot get their own rebound unless the ball is touched by another player. If the player does not jump over the line they may get their own rebound.

Overtime:    

Pool Play Games: Bracket Play Games:

Sudden death, first team to scores wins. 1 minute overtime, overtime will continue at 1 minute each until a winner is determined. o Clock stops on all whistles. Each team receives one reset timeout in bracket play overtimes. No timeouts in pool play overtime games. All fouls result in double bonus in overtime.

Special Defense Rules:  

No pressing for 3rd & 4th graders until the last 8 minutes of the game. No pressing at any level if winning by 20 or more points. 1st occurrence – Warning, 2nd and any occurrence after – Technical foul.

Other:     

8th grade division boys and up will use 29.5 basketball, all others 27.5 size ball. Basketballs are not provided for warm-up or games. Protest are permitted for age/grade only and require a $100 cash fee, if protest is found to be valid fee will be returned. Please be able to prove each player on your team’s grade/age. Scorekeeper will be provided No outside food or drink permitted in buildings, no exceptions. Daily Admission: $7 adults, $5 seniors, $3 students, 5 & under = free Maximum 2 coaches per team.
