21st Annual The Fox & The Hare Soccer Tournament Team Invitation AYSO Region 106 is proud to invite your team to the 21st Annual Fox & The Hare Soccer Tournament
Scope:
AYSO Invitational – open to AYSO teams only from all Sections.
When:
Saturday & Sunday, May 6h & May 7th - Rain Dates July 1st & July 2nd
Where:
The tournament will be held at Various Schools and Parks in the Lakewood – Bellflower, California area. There is no charge for parking. Pets or BBQ’S are not allowed at fields.
Who:
AYSO boys and girls teams in age divisions: U-16 (11V11) 15 players max, U-14 (11v11) 15 players max. U-12 (9v9) 12 players max, U-10 (7v7) 10 players max, U-08 (7v7) 10 players max. All players must be registered to play in the AYSO 2016 primary season, Guest players will be allowed (3 maximum per team). Co-ed teams will be accepted in boys’ divisions only. AYSO Extra teams will be placed in their own divisions: U14 (11v11) 15 players max, U13 (11V11) 15 players max, U12 (11V11) 15 players max, U11 (9V9) 12 players max, U10 (7V7) 10 players max, U9 (7V7) 10 players max. Tournament reserves the right to move teams between competitive brackets as needed.
What:
Pool play tournament. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games in pool play. The top teams will advance to the medal round on Sunday. All games will be as follows: (70 min. for U-16, 60 min. for U-14, 50 min for U-12, and 40 min for U-10 & U-08). There is no advancement to medal round in U-08, but all teams are guaranteed to play 4 games.
Why:
The Fox & The Hare Soccer Tournament is being conducted, as a fundraiser by Region 106 to raise funds for Field and Region Equipment needs.
Awards:
All players and 2 coaches per team will receive a pin. Pre-order t-shirts will be available at an addition cost (Orders must be received by April 15, 2017). All players on the 1 st, 2nd, 3rd place teams will receive medals. Tournament Champions in each age division will receive a trophy/cup. All players in the U-08 Division will receive participation medals.
Entry Fee, Refunds:
Primary/Select: U-16 $525, U-14 $525, U-12 $500, U-10 $475, U-8, $300 (Non-competitive). Extra: U-14 $525, U-13 $525, U-12 $500, U-11 $500, U-10 $475, U-9 $475 A full refund will be issued if tournament is canceled and cannot be rescheduled. If a team withdraws prior to April 17, 2017, a full refund is given. No refund will be given to teams with drawing on or after April 17, 2017, unless a replacement team is found.
Referee Fee, Refunds:
$250 ($150 for U-08), refundable within 14 days of the tournament, if referee assignments have been completed. Each team is asked to provide a qualified 3-person referee team to cover 3 games during the tournament. Each referee team must fulfill its complete assignment. No partial refunds will be given.

Acceptance:
The application deadline is April 15th, 2017. All teams will be notified within 48 hours of the application deadline or receipt of application (whichever is latest) as to their status. Teams that are not accepted will be given the option to have their complete application returned or to be placed on the waiting list.
How:
Teams must register on line at www.gotsoccer.com. Team entry applications and all necessary forms are available on the tournament website. Please send one Region check to cover Entry, t-shirts (May be separate check if needed), and Referee deposit. Please send following with payment: Tournament application, referee information form, t-shirt order form (if applicable), and team E-roster to the Tournament Registrar address below. Regional commissioner must sign application and team roster. Appropriate referee administrator must sign referee information form. See referee form for details.
