PLEASE PRAY FOR
The Spirit is on the move!
......those affected by the attack on Manchester Arena on Monday night....for all those mourning & grieving.....and those who are injured.....for the police & security services.....and for all politicians that they would speak words of calm into the situation (especially, during this election campaign).
Being a part of the Thy Kingdom Come initiative for the second year, we have been amazed at how God has empowered the global Christian church to take what was a Church of England initiative from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in 2016, and make it a prayer movement that stretches to all parts of the globe and in true ecumenical fashion. We believe that the growth of such a movement, for Christians to pray for more people to come to know the love of Jesus, is a powerful movement of the Spirit of God to get his people to pray and to expand his kingdom here on earth. It is an invitation to become individually, corporately and globally involved in something far beyond our understanding, the saving of lives by faith in Jesus through the work of the Holy Spirit. We therefore would like to encourage everyone at St Paul's to get involved. Please go to http://stpaulstervuren.be/whatson/thy-kingdom-come to see the events organised and to register for half hour prayer slots during the period between Ascension and Pentecost, 25 May to 4 June. "Prayer is the forerunner of mercy. Turn to sacred history, and you will find that scarcely ever did a great mercy come to this world unheralded by supplication." (Charles Spurgeon) Please join us here, and the body of Christ globally, in praying for God's mercies and blessings to fall upon our non-believing family members, friends, community and world at large.
.....the THY KINGDOM COME prayer initiative that we (individually & as a church) would be drawn to pray for others to come to know Jesus Christ. ......peace in Syria after years of civil war. ......all those who are running the Brussels 20k to raise funds for MIG supported missions ....continued healing & full restoration for Rick Griffiths & Andy Williamson following their strokes.
