30” ROLLERBLADE FLAIL MOWER “The Market Gardener’s Flail Mower” BCS’s newest mower is also one of its best: the RollerBlade flail mower is ideal for shredding cover crops for quick decomposition. Like the standard BCS Flail Mower, the RollerBlade can mow anything it can bend. But the RollerBlade also has some distinct differences from its predesessor, including a full-length roller — hence its name!
Easy-to-use hand crank provides an infinite range of mowing heights ranging from 0.5” to 2.5”. Lower dome-shaped housing produces smaller partcle size in a single pass than the standard Flail Mower Wider and thicker blades than standard Flail Mower. Full-length roller prevents “scalping” when the mower is adjusted to its lowest height setting. The roller makes it easier to traverse tough terrain (such as V-ditches) because the roller is located closer to the tractor wheels than skids or caster wheels, reducing the overall length of the machine.
Standard Flail Mower: “The All-Purpose Flail Mower” The standard Flail Mower (24’’, 30’’, and 35’’ widths) is still the best choice for allpurpose mowing. Its caster wheels provide a mowing height range of 0.5” to 4” and easier manueverability for mowing tall, dense material. It has the same easyto-use hand crank to adjust mowing heights and a higher dome to process more vegetation per unit of time. An optional full-length roller is also available.
