PESTICIDE APPLICATOR RECERTIFICATION COURSE February 10, 2016 @ 9AM Location-Farm Shop at Country Crossroads NY AND PA APPROVED
Course Agenda 9-9:30- Registration and refreshments 9:30-10:30- Chris Wainwright- NYDEC Pesticide Control Specialist- Regulatory update on pesticide regulations, labeling, licensing and disposal of pesticides. 10:30-10:45- Break 10:45-12:00- Greg Davis, Seedway LLC- Greg will give an update of selected trait benefits with current and new technologies. We will discuss current “Refuge in a Bag” technologies and requirements. There will also be a discussion on traited products compared with pesticide use from a producer and consumer perspective. 12-12:30- Lunch-Provided 12:30-1:45- Scott Rushe, Seedway LLC- Scott will discuss leaf hopper in alfalfa to control leaf hoppers and minimize pesticide use while providing effective control. Also new alfalfa trait technologies and proper pest management.
Registered attendees will be asked to have cell phones and pagers turned to off or vibrate. Only emergency calls will be accepted.
