This is a two-man Pan Fish team event. Each team may weigh-in any combination of Crappie, Perch and Bluegill that total their best 15 Panfish. Tournament fishing starts at 8:00 am and weigh-in starts at 3:10 pm. You may enter at the Causeway Sporting Goods or mail your entry to David Hoheisel at 737 Autumn Branch Rd Westerville Ohio 43081. All teams must be checked in and paid for by 7:30 am the morning of the event at Causeway Sporting Goods located on State Route 88 in Mecca, Ohio. A $10 late entry fee will be assessed if entering the morning of the tournament. Check-in starts at 6:00 am at Causeway Sporting Goods. After checking in that morning, all teams will have both team members and their shanties in line and on the ice for inspections by IceFishOhio.com pro staff. Teams must be in line for inspection by 7:35 am. The heaviest 15 Panfish combined weight by a team is the winner. Anyone trying to weigh in illegal fish will be disqualified and turned into the proper authorities. Teams may have as many rods as you like with you on the ice. Each team member may only use 2 rods at the same time. An example is 1 dead stick and one jigging or 2 of the same for each angler. You must have both rods by you. You cannot have your dead stick far away. This is a walking event. You must take off and weigh in out of Causeway Sporting Goods. Everyone is to check back in for safety purposes even if you get skunked. We are fishing north of the Causeway. You may go to the buoy lines this year. We cannot test the ice everywhere on the lake. You are entering this event at your own risk and understand that it is your responsibility to test the ice! Stay away from open water around the Causeway! A 1 pound per minute late penalty will be given at the weigh-in. You will be disqualified after 5 minutes. Please time your walk to ensure you get back in time. There is a $200 Big Crappie pot included in your entry based off of 75 teams. We will have an optional big Crappie pot for $10 the day of the event. Three IceFishOhio.com teams will fish for free for helping with check-in and weigh-in. They do not take away from the 75 teams allowed to enter. Each team must provide a 5 gallon bucket for your fish. Each team member must place fish in one bucket and bucket must be left outside of the shanty for inspections during the event. Do not leave your fish unattended. You may keep your daily possession limits per ODNR and weigh in your best 15 Panfish. We are pleased to announce the Avalon Inn as our tournament hotel headquarters. It is only six miles from the lake. The nightly room rate is $69 per night plus tax. This is for double occupancy. You MUST MENTION that you are fishing the Ice Fish Ohio Ice Fishing Tournament. You may get this rate on pre-fishing days. 22.
