4th Annual Golf Classic University of New Mexico
Ski Team UNM Championship Golf Course Friday, September 15, 2006 11:30 am Check In/Registration 1:00 pm Shotgun Start Please join the UNM Ski Team for an afternoon of golf and fun. This is a four-person scramble format, with each player receiving a gift bag. There will be a money hole, and Mercedes of Albuquerque sponsoring the hole in one hole. The Awards Dinner will follow directly after the tournament. Prize will be awarded for 1st, 7th and 13th place, and the men’s and women’s longest drive, with additional door prizes given out during dinner as well as a live auction, items include: •Ski and/or golf weekend for Two at Angel Fire •Ski and/or golf weekend for Two at La Fonda Inn Taos •A pair of Season Ski Passes donated by, Pajarito and Santa Fe/Sandia Peak ski areas •One Season Ski Pass donated by Red River and Taos •Executive Chair •The Lodge at Chama Trout Fishing Weekend •Ski Weekend for Two at The Lodge de Santa Fe
As a participant, you will have the satisfaction of supporting a program that embodies the term “student-athletes.” In 2004 the UNM Ski Team won the NCAA Championship and in 2006 came in 2nd at the NCAA Championship. Most important the Men’s and Women's Lobo Ski Team compiled a 3.5 GPA or better over the past ten years. The Team's Academic Achievement Placed 95% of the Athletics on the Conference Academic Scholars List Annually.
