During the first half of autumn term we have worked incredibly hard. We have learned about Anne Frank and read some of her diary. We used the Slow Writing technique to write diary extracts of our own. We did a terrific job so we made a lovely classroom display to show our work!

During art lessons we developed our techniques with collage and tried hard to create scenes inspired by the Blitz.

We are thoroughly enjoying our topic about World War Two. We started by writing questions that we wanted to find the answers too. We have found out about the reasons why the war started, The Battle of Britain and the Blitz so far. We can’t wait to visit Eden Camp to find out more.

In Maths we have been learning how to complete long multiplication and division calculations. We use songs and mnemonics to help us to remember the steps we need to take. Sometimes the songs are very annoying, but that helps them to stick in our heads.
