LAST WEEK Benedictine took a road trip to Rock Island, IL last Saturday to take on first year program Augustana and Greenville. The Eagles, who defeated Augustana to start the year, dropped a five-set match to the Vikings despite taking a 2-0 lead. The Eagles went on to defeat Greenville in four sets. PMS 123 C PMS 125 C

IN THE RANKINGS After their first two weeks of play with wins over two nationally ranked opponents, Benedictine moved into the AVCA National Rankings at No. 9. The Eagles have remained in the top 10 since and currently sit at the No. 10 spot. ABOUT AURORA Aurora University begins their first season as a men’s volleyball program in 2018 and is also a member of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. The Spartans are 5-1 with key wins over Augustana, IIT and Loras College and most recently North Central. The Spartans are led by head coach Rob Wolter. Offensively, Aurora is led by freshman Tim Breiter who averages 3.07 kills/set. NACC OPENER Benedictine’s originally scheduled NACC opener against Dominican on Friday night was postponed due to poor weather conditions. Today marks the conference opener for both teams.
