With MC and smaller circular needle, cast on 79 (87-95-99) sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle, proceed as follows: 1st row: (RS). K2. *P1. K1. Rep from * to last st. K1. 2nd row: K2. *K1. P1. Rep from * to last 3 sts. K3. Rep these 2 rows for 2” [5 cm], ending on a 2nd row and inc 1 st at center of last row. 80 (88-96-100) sts.
