Archaeologists at the University of Arkansas have done several digs in these Bluff Shelters and their findings show that some of them have been inhabited for more than 10,000 years. The 1.2 million acre Ozark National Forest borders this property on three sides. A 4400 foot deeded access road leads from Highway 16 to Home Bluff and one of the best building sites. Underground electric, rural water, telephone and septic have also been installed at the building site. An extension of the access road was constructed along the bluff to the Edd French Waterfall, another fabulous building site.
