Decorate your trunk, have fun & give out treats
Guidelines: Must be G-rated, church appropriate themes.
Must give something away (candy, toy, fruit snack, juice box, etc.) bring 200 treats! Food items cannot be homemade and must be individually wrapped.
Have something for the kids to DO at your trunk, an activity, a game, something other than just grabbing a piece of candy. Do need a carnival game? Some games are available from the church.
Set-up and be ready by 3:30 pm. You must have at least 1 adult at your vehicle to give out treats from 4 through 7 pm. The vehicle may NOT leave before 7pm.
Stay within your assigned space, no electricity will be available. You must clean your space before leaving.
Each vehicle must be registered, complete and return attached form to the Trunk or Treat Table, no last minute vehicles will be accepted. Registration deadline is Tuesday, October 25th.
The best trunk, as voted on by attendees will win the Trunk or Treat Trophy. This is a popular vote that will be taken at the info booth, no campaigning allowed.
Registration must be received no later than Wednesday, October 27 th.
Ideas and tips: When it comes to decorating your vehicle there are many choices, like decorating to a seasonal theme, and using items you would put up in your home… like pumpkins and leaves for fall or even Christmas or Easter or Independence Day. The best way to decorate is to pick a theme. Think of it like dressing yourself in a costume. Sometimes you pick a theme and put things together. The Winners from 2010 – The Tisoy Family! Here are some other ideas: - Mother Goose and things in the trunk representing different nursery rhymes. Have people guess the rhyme. - A Zookeeper and the car was filled with stuffed animals. Do I spy with the kids using the items in the car, if they guess then they get a treat. - Make your vehicle into a western, camping, pirate scene, a favorite movie or animal, or even an appliance Don’t forget about a costume for yourself. The best and most interesting trunks have their owners or friends dressed in a costume to match!
