DUCKS SPLIT WITH UTAH AND COLORADO TO CLOSE HOME SCHEDULE Entering last week in a four-way tie for first place in the Pac-12, the Ducks closed out their regular season home schedule with a loss to then-No. 19 Utah followed by a four-set win over Colorado on senior night. Against the Utes, the Ducks fought hard in the second set to even the match at 1-1, but dropped a tight third set and then got outplayed in the fourth. Four Ducks finished the night with double-digit kills, with Lindsey Vander Weide leading the way with 15 and 12 digs for her team-best 10th double-double of the year. August Raskie tallied her sixth double-double with 27 assists and 10 digs, and Amanda Benson set a season-high with 28 digs. The Ducks hit just .183 in the loss and tallied 10 service errors. Looking to rebound from the loss the previous night, Oregon came out strong against Colorado and then ran away in the third and fourth sets to take the match and end its home schedule with a win to finish 11-7 at Matthew Knight Arena. Vander Weide once again paced the Ducks’ offense with 20 kills for her fourth 20-kill match of the season while hitting an impressive .381 and putting down a career-high four aces. Benson and Kacey Nady each shined on their senior night, with Benson once again racking up 28 digs and Nady recording a season-best seven blocks to go with five kills. Raskie once again recorded a double-double with 27 assists and 10 digs. OREGON BY THE NUMBERS: DUCKS RANK AMONG THE NATION’S ELITE Oregon’s offense has been stellar this season, evident by the Ducks’ standing in multiple national statistic categories. The Ducks rank eighth nationally in assists per set (13.57), 14th in kills per set (14.37) and 15th in hitting percentage (.274), while leading the Pac-12 in all three categories. Oregon is also second in the Pac-12 in digs per set (16.07). Individually, Amanda Benson leads the Pac-12 and is 19th in the country in digs per set with 5.21. Lindsey Vander Weide is fourth in the Pac-12 in aces per set (0.31) and eighth in kills per set (3.36), and Ronika Stone is fifth in the conference with a .345 hitting percentage. Taylor Agost slots eighth on that list with a mark of .333. Jolie Rasmussen is sixth in the conference with 0.27 aces per set, and Maggie Scott is ninth with 6.72 assists per set.
ROAD WARRIORS While the Ducks have played 18 of 25 matches at home this season, they have found the most success on the road with a perfect 7-0 record. Oregon has three road wins over AVCA top-25 teams, and is 6-0 on the road in conference play. The Ducks have hit .277 away from Matthew Knight Arena while holding opponents to a mark of just .177. Taylor Agost has been a beast on the road with a .372 hitting percentage, and Ronika Stone is right behind at .367. Lindsey Vander Weide has also been very effective with a team-best 3.43 kills per set and a .309 hitting percentage. UP NEXT After taking on UCLA and USC in Los Angeles, the Ducks will close out the regular season with matches at Stanford (Nov. 23, 7 pm) and Oregon State (Nov. 25, 12 pm).

Benson currently trails Swoboda by 137 digs for the alltime record (2,198), but has joined her in the 2K club despite playing in significantly fewer sets in her career. Benson leads the Pac-12 and 19th in the country this season with 5.21 digs per set. LOOKING BACK AT THE FIRST MEETINGS WITH UCLA AND USC It was a tough go for the Ducks when UCLA and USC came to Matthew Knight Arena earlier in the season, as Oregon dropped both matches to record back-to-back losses for just the second time this season. Against the Bruins, the Ducks outlasted a tough first set to go up 1-0 but dropped the next two to fall into a deficit. Oregon rallied to win the fourth set, but couldn’t keep pace in the fifth. Jolie Rasmussen led the Ducks with 18 kills while taking 60 swings, and Taylor Agost put down 16 kills with a career-best seven blocks. Oregon hit just .192 in the loss. Two days later against the Trojans, the Ducks once again won a battle of a first set, 30-28, but dropped the next three for a disappointing loss. Agost was a standout once again with 12 kills on .444 hitting, and Ronika Stone put down 12 kills on .385 hitting with seven blocks. Oregon once again struggled as a team with a .175 hitting percentage. Oregon now trails the all-time series with UCLA, 54-11, and with USC, 52-11. VANDER WEIDE EARNS 2ND PAC-12 OFFENSIVE POW HONOR IN 3 WEEKS (NOV. 7) Lindsey Vander Weide was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in the three weeks on Nov. 7 after leading the Ducks to two impressive road conference wins against top-25 teams. Vander Weide hit .342 with 34 kills in wins against then-No. 8 Washington and then-No. 23 Washington State, averaging 4.25 kills per set to lead the Ducks. The sophomore also added 12 digs and an ace en route to claiming her fourth career Pac-12 weekly honor. DUCKS THRIVING IN 6-2 OFFENSIVE SCHEME The potent attack that has been the Oregon offense this season has been a somewhat unconventional sight for the conventional volleyball viewer, with Jim Moore rotating through as astounding number of players in a highly-effective offense. Led by Lindsey Vander Weide’s 3.36 kills per set, the Ducks have eight different players that are averaging more than 1.00 kill per set, and five players hitting better than .280. Setters Maggie Scott and August Raskie have both been very effective while rotating through the offense, with Scott averaging 6.72 assists per set and Raskie adding 5.34 assists per set. OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE EFFICIENCY KEY FOR THE DUCKS The Ducks’ success or failure this season has often come down to hitting efficiency. Oregon is 18-0 this season when leading in attack percentage and 11-0 when hitting better than .300. On the flip side, the Ducks are 0-6 when trailing in attack percentage and 0-3 when hitting under .200. Oregon is 15-0 when its opponent hits worse than .200, but 3-7 when its opponent hits better than .200. The Ducks have allowed an opposing team to hit better than .300 just one time in 25 matches this season.

BENSON, VANDER WEIDE PROVIDING SOLID BACK LINE OF DEFENSE The Ducks have largely relied on two players to dig balls this season, with Amanda Benson and Lindsey Vander Weide handiling the majority of those duties. Benson has continued her storied career of digging everything that comes her way, leading the Ducks and the Pac-12 with 5.21 digs per set while recording 490 total digs. Vander Weide is averaging 2.87 digs per set with 270 digs while serving as the only consistent six-rotation player for the Ducks. FRESHMEN FAB FOUR Oregon’s highly-touted freshman class has delivered on expectations thus far in their first season of collegiate volleyball. Ronika Stone has been stellar, leading the team in hitting percentage (.345), total blocks (82) and blocks per set (0.96), while providing the team with a noticeable infusion of energy. Stone’s .345 hitting percentage is currently fifth in the Pac-12, and the San Jose, Calif. native has hit better than .300 in 18 of 25 matches this season. Jolie Rasmussen has shown tremendous potential on the offensive end, averaging 2.70 kills per set while hitting .217, and has also shown some ability in receive with 1.19 digs per set. Willow Johnson has provided versatility with her left-handed swing on the right side, hitting .233 with 1.95 kills per set while also averaging 0.56 blocks per set. Brooke Van Sickle, the heir apparent to Benson at libero, has been all over the court in her first season and has averaged 0.75 kills per set and 1.57 digs per set.
IMPRESSIVE WIN STREAK ENDS AT 11 The Ducks’ loss to No. 8 Washington on Oct. 7 ended an 11-match winning streak that included eight sweeps and 33 wins in 37 sets. During the streak, Oregon hit an impressive .337 as a team while holding opponents to a combined .141 hitting percentage. The Ducks hit better than .270 in each of the 11 wins, while hitting better than .300 in eight of the wins, and held opponents under .200 in all 11 matches including two matches under .100. Individually, Ronika Stone and Taylor Agost led the Ducks during the streak with hitting percentages of .462 and .442, respectively, while Lindsey Vander Weide led the team with 3.21 kills per set. Amanda Benson paced the defense with an impressive 5.32 digs per set. The Ducks’ 11-match winning streak tied for the fifth-longest in program history.

PAC-12 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Date 9/12 10/3 10/24 10/24 11/7
VANDER WEIDE CONTINUES TO PROVE SHE’S AN ALL-AROUND PLAYER Often referred to on the outside as an “offensive weapon,” sophomore Lindsey Vander Weide has made it clear so far this season that she is much more than just an outside hitter. Vander Weide has rarely come off the court this year, serving as a six-rotation player while passing from the back row on a consistent basis. Vander Weide is ninth in the Pac-12 with 10 double-doubles this season, and has posted double-digit digs in 15 of 25 matches this season. The sophomore also has a service ace in all but eight matches in 2016 with multiple aces in seven different matches, highlighted by a career-high four against Colorado in the home finale.
PAGE, VANDER WEIDE EARN PAC-12 PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARDS (OCT. 24) Big weekends by Lauren Page and Lindsey Vander Weide paid off with some weekly accolades, as Page was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week and Vander Weide earned Offensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 24. Page finished the weekend against the mountain schools with an astounding 17 blocks and a hitting percentage of .480, and her 12 block assists at Colorado are tied for third-most in UO single-match history. Vander Weide totalled 32 kills, 32 digs, 13 blocks and a .325 hitting percentage in the two road wins. Both players earned their first conference honors of the season, while Vander Weide earned the third of her career.

MOORE CLOSING IN ON 600 CAREER WINS In his 12th season with the Ducks and 28th overall, head coach Jim Moore is just five victories away from reaching the 600 mark as a head coach. 243 of those 595 wins have come while at the helm at Oregon, where he has boasted a .677 winning percentage over his 11-plus years. Moore collected a combined 84 wins over four years between Chico State and Northern Michigan before arriving in Eugene, and 84 over four years at Texas, Friday’s opponent. Moore started his coaching career at Northern Michigan where he accumulated 123 wins in his first stint with the program before moving to Kansas State, where he won 61 matches over three seasons. VANDER WEIDE NAMED PRESEASON ALL-PAC-12: Coming off of a phenomenal freshman season, sophomore outside hitter Lindsey Vander Weide was recognized by the conference’s coaches by being selected to the preseason All-Pac-12 team. The Turlock, Calif. native earned All-Pac-12 honors and Pac-12 AllFreshmen Team recognition last season, as well as Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors twice throughout the year. Vander Weide led the Ducks with 410 points in 2015, finished second on the team with 356 kills, 3.21 kills per set, 253 digs and 21 service aces, and third with 59 blocks. DUCKS PICKED FOURTH IN PRESEASON COACHES POLL After a sixth place finish in 2015, the Ducks were picked to finish fourth in the league this season in a poll of the conference’s coaches, receiving 95 total points in the poll. Stanford was the consensus at the top of the poll, receiving nine of the 12 first-place votes and 119 points total, while UCLA and Washington each received a first-place vote to round out the top three. DUCKS LAND NO. 2 RECRUITING CLASS IN THE NATION A year after assembling the nation’s fourth-best recruiting class, the Ducks welcome a four-player class in 2016 that was ranked No. 2 in the nation by both prepvolleyball.com and volleyballmag.com. The quartet of hitters Jolie Rasmussen and Willow Johnson, middle blocker Ronika Stone and libero/outside hitter Brooke Van Sickle is the Ducks’ top-rated class ever. Stone is the top-rated indiviudal recruit in UO history, slotted at No. 10 on prepvolleyball.com’s prestifious “Senior Aces” list. Stone was a first-team Under Armour All-American, while Rasmussen was a second-team All-American and No. 20 on the Senior Aces list. Johnson was an honorable mention All-American and ranked 27th in the 2016 senior class, and Van Sickle came in at No. 88 among the Senior Aces while also earning first-team All-American honors. DUCKS LOOKING TO EARN SIXTH STRAIGHT NCAA BERTH Oregon enters 2016 with its sights set on returning to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth straight season. The Ducks faced off with Wisconsin in the first round of the dance last season, and reached the NCAA Regional round in 2014 after serving as a host school in the first two rounds. The Ducks battled with Nebraska in the second round of the tournament in 2013, a year after the program’s most successful season in history in 2012 when it reached the national championship game against Texas. The Ducks started the five-year run in the tournament in 2011 in the first round against Colorado State.

#19 OREGON VOLLEYBALL (18-7, 11-5) After 11 years at the helm of the Oregon program, head coach Jim Moore has continuously helped the Ducks reach new heights. Under Moore the Ducks have made an NCAA Tournament appearance an annual event, reaching the postseason in nine of his 11 years at Oregon. Moore has not only led the Ducks to the postseason, but guided them through it. At Oregon, Moore has advanced past the first round in six of the nine years the team has qualified, with a run to the 2012 national championship. The historic 2012 season was a banner year for Moore and the Ducks. UO finished the season with a 30-5 overall record and an 85.7 winning percentage, both of which are school-bests in the NCAA era. The achievements garnered acclaim for Moore who was named 2012 National Coach of the Year by Volleyball Magazine. The award was the third national honor of his career after being named the 2007 Collegiate Volleyball Update National Coach of the Year in 2007 and the AVCA Division II National Coach of the Year in 1993 at Northern Michigan.
THE JIM MOORE FILE • Three-time National Coach of the Year • 2012 Volleyball Magazine National Coach of the Year • 1993 NCAA Div. II National Coach of the Year • 2007 College Volleyball Update Coach of the Year • 2006 Pac-10 Conference Coach of the Year • Three-time AVCA/Tachikara Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year • Two-time Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference Coach of the Year • 1993 NCAA Div. II National Championship • Developed 29 All-Americans • One Big 12 Championship • 16 All-Pac-12 / 15 All-Big 12 Selections • One NCAA Div. 1 Player of the Year Award • Two NCAA Div. II Player of the Year Awards • Two Honda Broderick Award Winners • Developed two Olympians and eight National Team members
During the 2014 season, Moore passed a major milestone with his 197th win as the leader of the Ducks, becoming the winningest coach in Oregon history. With the team’s win against Oregon State on Sept. 24, Moore passed Karla Rice who notched 196 wins during her 10-year stint from 1968-77. Prior to Moore’s takeover at Oregon, the Ducks had gone 14 years without finishing a season with a winning record. In his second year, Moore turned the tables and brought winning fortunes to the UO program and never looked back. The 2006 team won 17 matches (17-12), a mark the team has not dropped below in each of the successive seven years under Moore. In addition to rebuilding programs and promoting team success, Moore has developed world-class talent at the individual level. The most recent example is Oregon alum Alaina Bergsma being named AVCA National Player of the Year in 2012. The honor was the first for one of Moore’s student-athletes at the Division I level. Moore had previously coached two National Players of the year at the Division II level. Bergsma was not the only student-athlete to earn national attention in 2012. Lauren Plum joined her as a First Team All-American while Liz Brenner was named All-America Second Team during that season and repeated the honor in 2013 as a junior. Eleven of UO’s 12 All-America honors have come during Moore’s tenure, thanks to the history-making careers of Alaina Bergsma (1st - 2012, 3rd-2011), Martenne Bettendorf (3rd - 2014), Liz Brenner (2nd – 2012, 2013) Neticia Enesi (3rd-2008, 2009), Gorana Maricic (1st-2008, 2nd- 2007), Sonja Newcombe (2nd-2009) and Lauren Plum (1st - 2012).
Since the first season of Pac-10 play in 1986, Moore’s players have racked up 16 of the Ducks’ 23 All-Conference honors courtesy of Bergsma (2011, 2012) and Plum (2011, 2012), Bettendorf (2014), Brenner (2012, 2013, 2014), Meyers (2010), Enesi (2008, 2009), Newcombe (2008, 2009), Maricic (2007, 2008) and Lindsey Vander Weide (2015). Moore is responsible for 16 of Oregon’s 20 honorable mentions from Amanda Benson (2014, 2015), Kacey Nady (2014), Plum (2013), Ariana Williams (2011, 2012, 2013), Haley Jacob (2012), Bergsma (2010), Djordjevic (2009), Meyers (2007, 2009), Katie Swoboda (2008, 2007) and Newcombe (2006, 2007). Likewise, he has mentored nine of Oregon’s 15 all-time Pac-12 All-Freshman Team selections – Vander Weide (2015) Frankie Shebby and Maggie Scott (2014), Amanda Benson (2013), Liz Brenner (2011), Plum (2010), Fischer (2009), Meyers (2007), Newcombe (2006) and Mira Djuric (2005) - and three of its seven honorable mentions - Djordjevic (2006), Enesi (2006) and Swoboda (2005). The team’s emphasis on excellence to academics certainly extends to the classroom. In 2005-06 and ‘09-10, the team received the AVCA Academic Team Award after it combined for +3.30 GPA’s each academic year. On Pac-10/12 All-Academic rolls Moore has seen 14 student-athletes to Pac-12 awards along with 32 honorable mentions. Prior to his arrival in Eugene, Moore served as head coach at Northern Michigan (1989-94, 2003-04), Kansas State (1994-97), Texas (1997-00) and Chico State (200102).ecruiting challenges, his five-year tenure culminated in the Wildcats winning the 1993 NCAA II National Championship. Moore raised the perennial sub-.500 team to national dominance, highlighted by three consecutive trips to the NCAA Division II National Tournament quarterfinals, back-to-back appearances in the national championship match, and finally the 1993 National Championship after a phenomenal season record of 38-1. Moore and his wife, Stacy Metro, have two children: Matthew and Michael.
